Meanwhile, health department officials have flagged concerns over a spike in Covid- 19 cases in Darjeeling, Jalpaiguri and Cooch Behar districts.

Darjeeling district has crossed the 14,000 mark, followed by Jalpaiguti district with over 11,500 cases. Cooch Behar district has recorded mom than 10,000 cases so far, sources said.

The officials said the viral load among the people had increased manifold. The CT (cycle threshold) value in Covid patients is considered a key indicator of the viral load.
