75 recovered from Covid-19, 9 from Hills, Fresh positive cases during last 24 hrs – 6 in Kalimpong, 1 in Kurseong, 1 in Sukhiapokhari, 1 in Mirik. Of the plains they are- 5 in Sukuna, 17 in Matigara, 19 in Naxalbari, 7 in Phansidewa and 5 in Khoribari.  90 in Coochbehar, 73 in Alipurduar, 95 in Jalpaiguri, 98 in Malda districts tested positive.

2 Death: 2 deaths reported during the last 24 hours in a Covid hospital of Darjeeling district.

Phulmaya Subba, 74 yr old of Tista Valley TE and Radha Rani Tudu, 60 yr old of Indrapur Bidhannagar-Phansidewa died in Dr. Chhang’s SS Covid Hospital.

62 of SMC:
62 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (53 in Darjeeling and 9 in Jalpaiguri districts) tested positive. They are- 5 of Ward no. 21, 46;  4 of Ward no. 41; 3 of Ward nos. 3, 25; 2 of Ward nos. 2, 19, 30, 34, 45; 1 each of Ward nos.6, 10, 16, 17, 22, 24, 32, 38, 44, 

109 of Darjeeling district:
Of the 109 tested positive cases of Darjeeling district 53 are from the Darjeeling district of the SMC while 3 are from the hills and they are - Of the 117 tested positive cases of Darjeeling district 19 are from the Darjeeling hills and they are -1 in Kurseong Municipality, 1 in Sukhiapokhari, 1 in Mirik. Of the plains they are- 5 in Sukuna, 17 in Matigara, 19 in Naxalbari, 7 in Phansidewa and 5 in Khoribari, tested positive. 

State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Darjeeling district with 88 new cases has 8448 confirmed cases of which 7590 have recovered and 115 died while 743 are active cases. 

6 of Kalimpong: 
6 new case from Kalimpong Municipality reported, State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Kalimpong district with 18 new cases has 1059 confirmed cases of which 911 have recovered, 7 died and 141 are active cases. 

98 of Malda: 

98 new cases reported today from Malda. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Malda with 83 new cases has 7301 confirmed cases of which 6567 have recovered and 56 died and 678 are active cases. 

73 of Alipurduar:

73 new cases, 56 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar with 80 new cases has 5048 confirmed cases of which 4473 have recovered and 62 died while 513 are active cases. 

90 of Coochbehar: 

90 new cases with 77 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours  Coochbehar with 85 new cases has 6327 confirmed cases of which 5569 have recovered, 42 died and 716 are active cases.  

95 of Jalpaiguri: 

95 new cases reported from Jalpaiguri today. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri with 87 new cases has 6548 confirmed cases of which 61 died while 5761 have recovered and 726 are active cases. 

75 Discharged:

After testing negative and recovery 75 from Dr. Chhang’s SS hospital, Desun Covid hospital and other from Safe homes were discharged today. 

NBMCH

23 suspected Covid patients are admitted in three Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are 12 patients in Surgical isolation ward, and 7 in Female -Gynecological Isolation ward, 4 patients in Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward and no patient in Isolation ward -1 are admitted.

1 each of Lava and Kumai are admitted.

2 doctors of NBMCH tested positive.

At Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital- 4 of Mirik, 2 of Saureni Mirik, 1 each of Naya Bazar Kurseong,  Krishnanagar Mirik, Dr. Z. Hussain Rd, Saureni, Kurseong, RN Sinha Road Darjeeling, Darjeeling Sadar, Mirik, Mahanadi, Kutchery Road, and 1 each of Primtam Road, Bagdhara, Kalimpong,  and Munsong of GTA area are admitted.

DESUN Covid Hospital

In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 92 Covid-19 patients are admitted, 32 are in ICU and 3 patients are newly admitted and nil released.

1 each of Margaret’s Hope Tea Estate Sukhipokhari, and Bagdhara Kalimpong and Lower Mencho-Sakyong Kalimpong of GTA area are admitted. 

NIVEDITA Nursing Home

55 patients are admitted of which 13 are in ICU and are being treated in Isolation ward of this hospital. Of these 32 are Covid patients. 7 patients are released. 25 patients are being treated in its Safe home.

The number of Covid-19 infected people in the district of Darjeeling are, 1081 in home quarantine - in Kalimpong district 637 in home quarantine, the tally of GTA area stands to 1718.

There are 21 Covid patients in 2 Covid hospital outside GTA area, 30 in GTA area and 17 more Covid patients in 5 Safe Homes of GTA, nil in Safe home outside GTA area, the tally of GTA being 68 active cases in Covid hospitals and safe homes.
