1 death , 100 fresh positive cases 38 recovery

38 recovered from Covid-19, 15 from Hills, Fresh positive cases during last 24 hrs – 6 in Kalimpong, 2 in Kurseong, 3 in Pulbazar,  1 in Takdah, 3 in Mirik. Of the plains they are- 8 in Sukuna, 11 in Matigara, 13 in Naxalbari, 6 in Phansidewa and 5 in Khoribari 79 in Alipurduar, 83 in Jalpaiguri, 74 in Coochbehar, 66 in Malda tested positive.

1 Death: Only 1 death reported during the last 24 hours in Covid hospitals of Darjeeling district. Niranjan Sarkar, 55 yr old of Kotwali Jalpaiguri died in Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital

67 of SMC:67 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (48 in Darjeeling and 19 in Jalpaiguri districts) tested positive.

100 of Darjeeling district

Of the 100 tested positive cases of Darjeeling district 48 are from the Darjeeling district of the SMC while 9 are from the Darjeeling hills and they are -2 in Kurseong Municipality, 3 in Pulbazar,  1 in Takdah, 3 in Mirik. Of the plains they are- 8 in Sukuna, 11 in Matigara, 13 in Naxalbari, 6 in Phansidewa and 5 in Khoribari, tested positive. 

State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Darjeeling district with 91 new cases has 8539 confirmed cases of which 7688 have recovered and 115 died while 736 are active cases. 

6 of Kalimpong: 
6 new cases from Kalimpong reported, State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Kalimpong district with 11 new cases has 1070 confirmed cases of which 932 have recovered, 7 died and 131 are active cases. 

66 of Malda: 

66 new cases reported today from Malda. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Malda with 82 new cases has 7383 confirmed cases of which 6603 have recovered and 56 died and 724 are active cases.

79 of Alipurduar:

79 new cases, 69 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar with 79 new cases has 5127 confirmed cases of which 4542 have recovered and 63 died while 522 are active cases. 

74 of Coochbehar: 74 new cases with 104 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours  Coochbehar with 81 new cases has 6408 confirmed cases of which 5662 have recovered, 42 died and 704 are active cases. 

83 of Jalpaiguri: 

Gyanmaya Chhetri, of Kalabari Nagarkatta died, 83 new cases 79 release reported from Jalpaiguri today. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri with 83 new cases has 6631 confirmed cases of which 62 died while 5840 have recovered and 729 are active cases. 

38 Discharged:

After testing negative and recovery 38 from Dr. Chhang’s SS hospital, Desun Covid hospital and other from Safe homes were discharged today. 

NBMCH

15 suspected Covid patients are admitted in three Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are 3 patients in Surgical isolation ward, and 7 in Female -Gynecological Isolation ward, 5 patients in Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward and no patient in Isolation ward -1 are admitted.

DESUN Covid Hospital

In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 95 Covid-19 patients are admitted, 32 are in ICU and 18 patients are newly admitted and 15 released.

1 each of Margaret’s Hope Tea Estate Sukhipokhari, and Bagdhara Kalimpong and Lower Mencho-Sakyong Kalimpong of GTA area are admitted.
