KalimNews, Kalimpong, 6 February 2022: It is observed that in Bengal and particularly in North Bengal, the number of new infections has diminished while the rate of death alarmingly rose high. Daily report issued by the State Department of the Health and Family Welfare of the state of West Bengal regarding infection of Covid-19 in the different Hospitals of Darjeeling district including all five districts of north Bengal during the last 24 hours is as follows:

9 Death:

Death of 2 in Darjeeling, 1 in Malda, 4 in Jalpaiguri and, 2 in Dakshin Dinajpur and 1 in Malda is recorded during the last 24 hours.

69 in Darjeeling:

During the last 24 hours 69 new cases, 109 releases were reported from Darjeeling. The State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Darjeeling district records 69 new cases, and till today there are 68,607 confirmed cases of which 67,055 have recovered and 583 died while 969 are active cases.

2 in Kalimpong:

2 new cases, 21 releases were reported from Kalimpong. The State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Kalimpong district records 2 new cases, and till today there are 8,413 confirmed cases of which 8,184 have recovered, 57 died and 172 are active cases.

42 in Alipurduar:

42 new cases 48 releases were reported. The State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar records 42 new cases, and till today there are 18,540 confirmed cases of which 17,991 have recovered and 107 died while 442 are active cases.

26 in Coochbehar: 

26 new cases, 62 releases were reported. The State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Coochbehar records 26 new cases, and till today there are 33,718 confirmed cases of which 33,079 have recovered, 103 died and 536 are active cases.

35 in Jalpaiguri: 

35 new cases, 82 releases were reported from Jalpaiguri. The State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri records 35 new cases, and till today there are 49,114 confirmed cases of which 628 died while 47,781 have recovered and 705 are active cases.

24 in Uttar Dinajpur:

24 new cases, 35 releases were reported today from Uttar Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours, Uttar Dinajpur records 24 new cases, and till today, there are 24,958 confirmed cases of which 259 died while 24,389 have recovered and 310 are active cases.

24 in Dakshin Dinajpur:

24 new cases 44 releases were reported today from Dakshin Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Dakshin Dinajpur records 24 new cases, and till today there are 22,833 confirmed cases of which 188 died while 22,257 have recovered and 388 are active cases.
