5 died 

5 Covid-19 patients admitted at different Covid hospitals located in Darjeeling district died within last 24 hrs. They are-

Rebika Singh 74 yr old of HC Road Kurseong (It is the second death of Kurseong), Puling Saha 75 yr old of Bharatnagar Ward no.24 Siliguri, Haripada Sutradhar 70 yr old of Shaktigarh, Ward no.31 NJP, died in Dr Chhang’s Covid hospital .

Binit narayan Jha 72 yr old of Fulbari died in Home Isolation today.

Bishnu Karmakar, 32 yr (Upa Pradhan of GP) of Jaigaon -Alipurduar died in Desun hospital.

79 of Siliguri Municipal Corporation: 79 Covid-19 positive patients tested positive, within last 24 hrs and they are from different wards of Siliguri Municipal Corporation located in Darjeeling and Jalpaiguri districts. They are  - 9 of Ward No.27; 6 of Ward No. 37; 5 of Ward No.17; 4 of Ward Nos.2, 35, 4, 47; 3 of Ward No.14; 2 of Ward Nos. 32, 39; 1 each of Ward Nos. 5, 8, 9, 10, 13, 16, 26, 29, 40, 43, 44, 46 and one of Punjab.

6 of Kalimpong: 4 of Malli under Kalimpong district ( 80 yr old woman, 2 women of 33 yrs of a  family and a 31 yr old male) and 2 of Gairibas of a family (54 yr old woman and 12 yr old boy) under Gorubathan block of Kalimpong district tested  positive.

32 of Darjeeling district: 1 of Sukna, 5 of Matigara, 15 of Bagdogra Naxalbari, 1 of Fulbari, 2 of Islampur, 1 each of Nagrakatta, Coochbehar and Rajgunj, 5 police personnel of Siliguri Police Commisionerate.

83 of Jalpaiguri:  83 new cases reported from Jalpaiguri today. 22 of Maynaguri, 6 of Jalpaiguri, 1 of Malbazar, 5 of Rajgunj,  In the district there are 1463 confirmed cases of which 1123 have recovered, 11 died and 29 active cases.

37 of Alipurduar: 1 of Jaigaon died 37 new cases reported in the districts. In the district there are 450 Confirmed cases, 240 recovered, 14 died and  207 active cases. 

67 of Coochbehar:  67 new cases of Covid 19 infection is reported today. The complete report of the district is 924 confirmed cases of which 2 are nationals of Bangladesh and 1 of them had died, 661 recovery and 262 active cases. 

43 of Malda:  1 died, 43 new cases reported today from Malda. There are 2392 Confirmed cases, 1669 have recovered and 18 died and 715 are active cases. 

48 Discharged: 

After testing negative twice and recovery, 19 patients from Dr. Chhang’s Covid Super specialty hospital, 12 from Desun Covid hospital, 5 from Nivedita Nursing Home and 7 from Safe Homes and 5 from others were discharged today.

NBMCH

17 suspected Covid patients are admitted in three Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH).

1 patient in Isolation ward-I, 4 patients in Surgical Isolation ward, 6 patients in Respiratory Illness Care Unit (RICU), and 6 in Gynecological Isolation ward are admitted 

1 of Kurseong–GTA is admitted.

DR. CHHANG'S SS Covid Hospital 

At Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital 82 patients are admitted today in this hospital at Himanchal Vihar. 3 died here.

1 patient each of Jaldhaka, Subedar Busty-Kurseong, and 3 of Kurseong are admitted. 

1 each of Pulbazar and Mirik are released.

DESUN Covid Hospital

In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 61 Covid-19 patients are admitted of which 19 patients are being treated in ICU. 9 are released and 2 died.

1 of Convent Road, Darjeeling is admitted in this hospital.

NIVEDITA Nursing Home

49 patients are being treated in Isolation ward of this hospital. Of these 39 are Covid patients.

5 are releasd.

QUARANTINE CENTRES AND SAFE HOMES

The number of people in home quarantine in the district of Darjeeling is 893 and in Kalimpong district is 580, the tally of GTA area stands to 1473. 

Altogether there are 74 persons in 4 institutional facility quarantines and 41 in 4 Safe Homes of GTA.

Number of Covid patients in the eight districts of North Bengal

Today’s daily state bulletin stated that Darjeeling district has 2589 confirmed cases of which 1821 have recovered and 27 died while 741 are active cases. 

Similarly Kalimpong district has 105 confirmed cases of which 78 have recovered, 1 died and 26 are active cases. 

Alipurduar has 488 confirmed cases of which 276 have recovered and 3 died while 209 are active cases. 

Jalpaiguri has 1546 confirmed cases of which 13 died while 1154 have recovered and 379 are active cases. 

Coochbehar has 1013 confirmed cases of which 570 have recovered, 0 died and 443 are active cases. 

Malda has 2606 confirmed cases of which 2067 have recovered and 15 died and 524 are active cases.

Uttar Dinajpur has 1243 confirmed cases of which 997 have recovered and 10 died and 236 are active cases.

Dakshin Dinajpur has 1416 confirmed cases of which 1002 have recovered and 10 died and 404 are active cases.
