WB report- Record spike of 54 death, 2752 new cases, 80984 confirmed cases, 22315 active cases, 2066 recovery, recovery rate increased to 70.247%.

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 4 August 2020: Rate of recovery of Covid-19 cases in West Bengal during the last 24 hours it is 70.24 percent.

In the state the number of new cases also has been increasing and during the last 24 hours it has 2752 new cases (1 day before-2716, 2 days before- 2739) as well as 54 death (1 day before-53, 2 days before- 49) is recorded in the last 24 hours.

The total number of recovery is 2066 (1 day before-2088, 2 days before- 2213) and confirmed cases is 80984 (1 day before-78232, 2 days before- 75516) while active cases is 22315 (1 day before-21683, 2 days before-21108). The death toll from the disease in the state till now is 1785 (1 day before-1731, 2 days before-1678). After recovery of the infection 56884 (1 day before-54818, days before- 52730) Covid patients are released from the hospital.

The testing of swab samples for Covid-19 in 57, ICMR testing labs is being done and in the last 24 hours 22321 (1 day before-22122, 2 days before-21072) samples were tested that tally 978980 (1 day before-956659, 2 days before- 934537) till now since day 1.

In the last 24 hours, 31320 persons (1 day before-32490, 2 days before- 33479) were under home quarantine/ observation/ surveillance and a total of 418530 persons (1 day before-417979, 2 days before- 416937) were in the home quarantine/ observation/ surveillance till today.

Number of people released from home quarantine was 387210 (1 day-385489, 2 days before- 383458).

Currently in the 582 institutional government quarantine centres there are 2911 persons (1 day before-3075, 2 days before- 3178) and so far from these centres 105675 persons (1 day before-105586, 2 days before- 105592) were released after recovery.

Currently in the state there are 83 Hospitals dedicated for treating COVID-19, 28 Government Covid hospitals and 55 Private Covid-19 hospitals.
