Rai appointment celebrated in Kurseong

SNS, KURSEONG 26 MAY 2019: Celebrating the announcement made by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee regarding the appointment of Amar Singh Rai as the chairman of North Bengal Development Council last night, the Gorkha Jan Mukti Morcha (Tamang Faction) burst firecrackers and shouted slogans in favour of the CM, their leaders Binoy Tamang, Anit Thapa and Amar Singh Rai at Kurseong Motor Stand yesterday evening.

Meanwhile, talking to reporters. the GTA Board of Administration ( BoA) members from Kurseong, Anu Pradhan and Jaitun Neesha Khatoon said that as their parry leader Mr Rai was selected as the chairman of the NBDC, they were celebrating the honour bestowed upon him.

"It is an honor bestowed upon Mr Rai and Gorkha Community. Hence, we would like to express our gratitude and thank the CM. Though we accept and respect the mandate of public, we will continue our political activities under the leadership of GJMM president, Mr Tamang and general secretary. Mr Thapa," said Mrs Pradhan.

"Mr Tamang and Mr Thapa have always worked for the interest of people. Therefore, we should continue extending our support to them,"added Mrs Khatoon.
