Mamata be in Siliguri, Darjeeling from Jan 21
Prashant Acharya, EOI, SILIGURI, 9 Jan 2019: Chief minister Mamata Banerjee will visit Siliguri on January 21, where she will be inaugurating Uttar Banga Utsav. Mamata will also be attending Netaji Jayanti in Darjeeling.
The chief minister will reach Siliguri on January 21and inaugurate the Uttar Banga Utsav at Kanchanjunga Stadium on January 22. On January 23, she will be attending the birth anniversary programme of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. North Bengal Development minister Rabindranath Ghosh confirmed the news and said that chief minister will be inaugurating the Uttarbanga Utsav which is celebrated every year showcasing local artists and folk artists from all the districts of North Bengal.
The chief minister will be felicitating meritorious students of North Bengal and also those from hills of Gorkhaland Territorial Administration (GTA) in a programme at Chowrasta, Darjeeling. Each student will receive a cheque of Rs 10,000.
