Arrests for attacking a woman for refusing to pay Kali Puja subscription
Cooch Behar police chief Anup Jaiswal said: "The arrested persons were produced in the court of the chief judicial magistrate today." Papai Biswas and Sanjit Sha, both members of a Kali Puja committee, have been remanded in jail custody for 14 days. Tumpa Saha, the wife of a police constable and a resident of Babupara near Kotwali, had lodged an FIR yesterday.
