3 died in NH31A accident, 7 injured in another accident

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 26 June: Three people died during an accident that took place near Hanuman Jhora in NH31A. The dead are identified as Man kumar Rai 48 of Jorebunglow, Nima Yolmo 34 of Alubari and Santosh Gahatraj 30 of Peshoke.
In the wee hours of this morning their white Maruti van and 2 bodies were spotted by some travelers passing by the NH 31A and reported it to KalimNews. 
KalimNews passed on the information to the Kalimpong police. 
It is believed that during the night time their van was washed away by landslide near 20th mile about 2oo mts away from Hanuman Jhora towards Sevoke. The vehicle was traveling from Darjeeling and heading towards Siliguri and was located about 200 mts down from the road into the gorge of river Tista. All the three were drivers and it is yet not certain that who was driving the vehicle .
Their dead bodies were recovered from the accident site and after identification and autopsy were handed over to their families. 
Yet in another incident this afternoon a vehicle carrying 7 people skidded off the road near Kalijhora in NH 31A and fell in the river Tista. The passengers are yet to be rescued. Detailed report regarding the accident is not yet received.
