NH 10 Closed Due to Road Slide Near Setijhora

KalimNews, Kalimpong, September 16, 2024 : NH 10 has been closed to all vehicular traffic following a road slide near Setijhora. The disruption, which began in the evening of September 16, 2024, has made the road impassable until further notice.
According to a district administration notice, all types of vehicles are suspended on NH 10 due to the caving in of the road bench at Setijhora. This notice has been communicated to transport associations in Sikkim and Siliguri.
The Public Works Department (PWD) will assess the situation and is expected to issue an updated traffic movement order tomorrow. In the meantime, travelers are advised to use alternative routes.
Alternative route as suggested by the district administration is Gorubathan-Lava-Rishi route. This route is currently available for travel while NH 10 remains closed.
The district administration has also requested that the public monitor local news sources and official announcements from the PWD for ongoing updates and further information.
