GTA polls: Thapa likely to contest in two seats of GTA

SNS, KURSEONG. 1 JUNE: President of the Bharatiya Gorkha Prajatantrik Morcha Anit Thapa is likely to file nomination for the ensuing Gorkhaland Territorial Administration (GTA) elections from two different constituencies in Kurseong, top party sources said here today.
The sources said their leader may file nominations for the Gidda Pahar and Sittong Lathpanchar constituencies that fall under the Kurseong segment.
However, when asked today, Mr Thapa said that even he is not sure in which seat he will be contesting the elections.
"Everything will be clear only after I file the nomination (tomorrow)," he said. Mr Thapa also said that he has never said that his party has an alliance with the Trinamul Congress.
Mr Thapa is scheduled to file his nomination in Kurseong tomorrow, while he will also address a public meeting at the motor stand in the town before filing the papers.
