KalimNews, Kalimpong, 28 July: Under the influence of cyclonic circulation over North Bay of Bengal a low pressure area has formed over North Bay of Bengal & neighbourhood with associated cyclonic circulation extends upto mid tropospheric level. It is very likely to become a Well Marked Low Pressure Area over North Bay of Bengal & adjoining Bangladesh during next 24 hours and slowly move westwards across West Bengal, Jharkhand and Bihar during next 3- 4 days. The Monsoon trough at mean sea level now passes through Ganganagar, Hissar, Meerut, Hardoi, Varanasi, Daltonganj, Digha and thence eastwards to the centre of low pressure area over North Bay of Bengal & neighbourhood.Yesterday’s cyclonic circulation over northwest Madhya Pradesh & neighbourhood became insignificant.
28 July
1) Heavy to very heavy rain (7-20cm) with extremely heavy rain (>20cm) likely to occur at one or two places over North 24 Parganas, Nadia, East & West Burdwan, Birbhum districts of Gangetic West Bengal.
2) Heavy to very heavy rain (7-20cm) likely to occur at one or two places over Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha and Hooghly, Howrah, Kolkata, Bankura, Purulia districts of Gangetic West Bengal.
3) Heavy rain (7-11cm) likely to occur at one or two places over the rest districts of Gangetic West Bengal. 4) Thunderstorms with lightning likely to occur at one or two places over Bihar and all the districts of West Bengal.
29 July
1) Heavy to very heavy rain (7-20cm) with extremely heavy rain (>20cm) likely to occur at one or two places over Jharkhand and Purulia, Bankura, West Burdwan districts of Gangetic West Bengal.
2) Heavy to very heavy rain (7-20cm) likely to occur at one or two places over Bihar, Odisha and Jhargram, West Midnapore, East Burdwan, Hooghly, Howrah, Birbhum districts of Gangetic West Bengal.
3) Heavy rain (7-11cm) likely to occur at one or two places over the rest districts of Gangetic West Bengal.
4) Thunderstorms with lightning likely to occur at one or two places over Bihar and all the districts of Sub Himalayan West Bengal.
30 July
1) Heavy to very heavy rain (7-20cm) likely to occur at one or two places over Odisha, Jharkhand.
2) Heavy rain (7-11cm) likely to occur at one or two places over Bihar and Jhargram, West Midnapore, Purulia, bankura, West Burdwan districts of Gangetic West Bengal.
3) Thunderstorms with lightning likely to occur at one or two places over Bihar.
31 July
1) Heavy rain (7-11cm) likely to occur at one or two places over Odisha.
2) Thunderstorms with lightning likely to occur at one or two places over Bihar.
