KalimNews, Kalimpong, 16 May 2021: Report received from the State Department of the Health and Family Welfare regarding infection of Covid-19 in the different Hospitals of North Bengal including all five districts of north Bengal including Gorkhaland Territorial Administration during the last 24 hours is as follows:
22 Death:
Death of 5 in Darjeeling, 8 in Jalpaiguri, 7 in Uttar Dinajpur, 2 in Dakshin Dinajpur district is recorded during the last 24 hours.
509 in Darjeeling:
During the last 48 hours 509 new cases, 581 release is reported from Darjeeling. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hour Darjeeling district records 509 new cases, 33130 confirmed cases of which 28837 have recovered and 305 died while 3988 are active cases.

85 in Kalimpong:
85 new cases, 59 release reported from Kalimpong. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hour Kalimpong district records 85 new cases, 3559 confirmed cases of which 3092 have recovered, 32 died and 435 are active cases.
159 in Alipurduar:
159 new cases, 110 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hour Alipurduar records 159 new cases, 9746 confirmed cases of which 8844 have recovered and 91 died while 811 are active cases.
300 in Coochbehar:
300 new cases, 240 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 Coochbehar records 300 new cases, 17450 confirmed cases of which 15653 have recovered, 75 died and 1722 are active cases.
435 in Jalpaiguri:
435 new cases, 361 release reported from Jalpaiguri. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hour Jalpaiguri records 435 new cases, 23132 confirmed cases of which 273 died while 20300 have recovered and 2559 are active cases.
278 in Uttar Dinajpur:
278 new cases, 256 release reported today from Uttar Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hour Uttar Dinajpur records 278 new cases, 14269 confirmed cases of which 141 died while 12344 have recovered and 1784 are active cases.
158 in Dakshin Dinajpur:
158 new cases, 171 release reported today from Dakshin Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hour Dakshin Dinajpur records 158 new cases, 12878 confirmed cases of which 112 died while 11597 have recovered and 1169 are active cases.
214 in Malda:
214 new cases, 353 release reported today from Malda. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hour Malda records 214 new cases, 28675 confirmed cases of which 26201 have recovered and 175 died and 2299 are active cases.
COVID PATIENTS IN THE 8 DISTRICTS OF NORTH BENGAL
Today’s daily state bulletin regarding the report of the last 24 hrs and from the beginning till today stated that Darjeeling district records 509 new cases, 33130 confirmed cases of which 28837 have recovered and 305 died while 3988 are active cases.
Similarly Kalimpong district records 85 new cases, 3559 confirmed cases of which 3092 have recovered, 32 died and 435 are active cases.
Alipurduar records 159 new cases, 9746 confirmed cases of which 8844 have recovered and 91 died while 811 are active cases.
Coochbehar records 300 new cases, 17450 confirmed cases of which 15653 have recovered, 75 died and 1722 are active cases.
Jalpaiguri records 435 new cases, 23132 confirmed cases of which 273 died while 20300 have recovered and 2559 are active cases.
Uttar Dinajpur records 278 new cases, 14269 confirmed cases of which 141 died while 12344 have recovered and 1784 are active cases.
Dakshin Dinajpur records 158 new cases, 12878 confirmed cases of which 112 died while 11597 have recovered and 1169 are active cases.
Malda records 214 new cases, 28675 confirmed cases of which 26201 have recovered and 175 died and 2299 are active cases.
