17 die of Covid :  498 in Darj, 71 in Darj Hills, 224 in Plains, 253 in SMC test positive, 153 admitted in Covid Block of NBMCH 

Out of 1222 tests done 394 test positive, 201 recovered from Covid-19.

Jyotsna Roy, 77 yr old of Siliguri died today in CCU of Covid Ward of NBMCH. 

Anita Saha, 48 yr old of Sahid Colony Bhaktinagar Jalpaiguri died today in CCU of Covid Ward of NBMCH. 

Lina Basu Roy, 76 yr old of Dabgram Siliguri died today in CCU of Covid Ward of NBMCH. 

Bijay Ch. Pal, 75 yr old of Rabindra Sarani Dabgram no.1 Siliguri died today in CCU of Covid Ward of NBMCH.

394 tested positive Test report received from Virus Research and Diagnostic Laboratory (VRDL) at NBMCH

1222 swab samples received for Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction (RTPCR) Tests from the districts of Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Jalpaiguri and Alipurduar - Total 394 samples test positive.

253 in SMC:

253 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (201 in Darjeeling and 52 in Jalpaiguri districts) test positive. 

498 in Darjeeling district:

498 positive cases reported in the district of Darjeeling, of which 201 are from the area of Darjeeling district of the SMC. 

71 cases reported from the Darjeeling Hills (10 in Darjeeling Municipality, 9 in Kurseong Municipality, 7 in Mirik, 19 in Bijanbari, 8 in Sukhiapokhari,18 in Takdah,).

224 of the plains (104 in Matigara, 45 in Naxalbari, 35 in Khoribari, 34 in Phansidewa, 6 in Sukuna) also test positive.

153 patients in NBMCH:

153 patients are being treated for Covid- 19 and suspected Covid- 19 infection in the North Bengal Medical College and Hospital. 

201 Discharged:

201  patients have been released from Covid hospitals that also includes home isolation patients but excluding patients in private hospitals and army establishments.
