KalimNews, Kalimpong,10 May 2021: Reports received and collected regarding testing and treatment of Covid patients in the different Hospitals of North Bengal including Darjeeling district and Gorkhaland Territorial Administration during the last 24 hours is as follows:
13 Death:
A nine days old Baby of Regina Khatun Bibi of Dhubri Assam died today in CCU of Covid Ward of NBMCH.
Nawang Thendup Sherpa (Joint BDO of English Bazar Block Malda), 45 yr old of Darjeeling died today in Dr. Chhangs Covid SS Hospital.
Sishir Nandi, 79 yr old of Deshbandhupara Siliguri died today in Male Medical Ward 2 of NBMCH.
Arun Chakraborty, 55 yr old of Ward No 31 Sitalapara Siliguri died today in HDU of Covid Ward of NBMCH.
Bijay Karmakar, 49 yr old of Subhaspalli Siliguri died today in FMW of Covid Ward of NBMCH.
Gopi Ranjan Saha, 77 yr old of New Milan Palli Siliguri died today in CCU of Covid Ward of NBMCH.
Ali Akbar Ansari, 73 yr old of Hakimpara Siliguri died today in CCU of Covid Ward of NBMCH.
Manushi Mondal Das, 47 yr old of Hyderpara Siliguri died today in CCU of Covid Ward of NBMCH.
Ratan Debnath, 62 yr old of Pradhan Nagar Siliguri died today in CCU of Covid Ward of NBMCH.
Shyama Pal Chowdhary, 50 yr old of Bagdogra Siliguri died today in CCU of Covid Ward of NBMCH.
Sanjay Chakraborty, yr old of Ashrampara Siliguri died today in CCU of Covid Ward of NBMCH.
Minati Sarkar, 73 yr old of Pradhan Nagar Siliguri died today in CCU of Covid Ward of NBMCH.
A patient of Ram Krishna Colony Siliguri died today in CCU of Covid Ward of NBMCH.
Test report received from Virus Research and Diagnostic Laboratory (VRDL) at NBMCH
699 swab samples received for Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction (RTPCR) Tests from the districts as follows: Darjeeling- 163, Kalimpong- 82, Jalpaiguri– 139, Alipurduar- 315 is 699.Of these 390 samples test positive.
239 in SMC:
239 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (178 in Darjeeling and 61 in Jalpaiguri districts) test positive.
431 in Darjeeling district:
Record 431 positive cases reported in the district of Darjeeling, of which 178 are from the area of Darjeeling district of the SMC.
81 cases reported from the Darjeeling Hills (7 in Darjeeling Municipality, 12 in Kurseong Municipality, 16 in Mirik, 7 in Bijanbari, 32 in Sukhiapokhari, 7 in Takdah ).
172 of the plains (83 in Matigara, 64 in Naxalbari, 9 in Khoribari, 8 in Phansidewa, 8 in Sukuna) also test positive.
145 patients in NBMCH:
145 patients are being treated for Covid- 19 and suspected Covid- 19 infection in the North Bengal Medical College and Hospital. Out of this 58 are admitted in the CCU unit of the Covid Block I and 33 in Covid Block II (Chest & Cardiac Unit) of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH), 38 in Covid Block III (Female Medicine)
During the last 24 hours 16 patients are admitted in the Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are 7 patients in the Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward, 8 in Gynecological Maternity Isolation ward (ID III) and 1 in Isolation ward -1, but no patients in surgical isolation ward.
139 Discharged:
139 patients have been released from Covid hospitals that also includes home isolation patients but excluding patients in private hospitals and army establishments.
