KalimNews, Kalimpong, 16 April 2021: Reports received and collected regarding testing and treatment of Covid patients in the different Hospitals of North Bengal including Darjeeling district and Gorkhaland Territorial Administration during the last 24 hours:

0 Death:

Tanushree Guha Roy, 30 yr old patient of 5 no Ward in Mal Bazar died in NBMCH.

Test report in the 4 districts as received from VRD Laboratory at NBMCH

Tests done in the districts of Darjeeling- 382, Kalimpong- 118, Jalpaiguri – 150, Alipurduar-161,  TOTAL= 811 

Of these 122 tested positive.

84 in SMC

84 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (63 in Darjeeling and 21 in Jalpaiguri districts) tested positive. 

143 in Darjeeling district:

Of the 143 positive cases of the district, 63 are from the area of Darjeeling district of the SMC. 

15 cases reported from the Darjeeling Hills (8 in Darjeeling Municipality, 1 in Takdah, 4 in Bijanbari and 2 in Sukhiapokhari) 

65 of the plains (26 in Matigara, 28 in Naxalbari, 3 in Khoribari and 6 in Phansidewa, 2 in Sukuna) also tested positive.

126 new cases, 62 release reported during the last 24 hours from Darjeeling. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hour Darjeeling district records 126 new cases,19677 confirmed cases of which 18742 have recovered and 204 died while 731 are active cases.

9 in Kalimpong:

9 new cases, 3 release reported today from Kalimpong. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hour Kalimpong district records 9 new cases, 2319 confirmed cases of which 2232 have recovered, 27 died and 60 are active cases.

4 in Alipurduar:

4 new case, 5 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar records 4 new cases, 7840 confirmed cases of which 7682 have recovered and 86 died while 72 are active cases.

44 in Coochbehar: 

44 new cases, 11 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Coochbehar records 44 new cases, 12098 confirmed cases of which 11874 have recovered, 72 died and 152 are active cases.

84 in Jalpaiguri: 

84 new cases, 44 release reported from Jalpaiguri today. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri records 84 new cases, 1 new death, 15464 confirmed cases of which 165 died while 14832 have recovered and 467 are active cases.

58 in Uttar Dinajpur:

58 new cases, 26 release reported today from Uttar Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Uttar Dinajpur records 58 new cases, 7471 confirmed cases of which 78 died while 6896 have recovered and 497 are active cases.

25 in Dakshin Dinajpur:

25 new cases, 20 release reported today from Dakshin Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Dakshin Dinajpur records 25 new cases, 8484 confirmed cases of which 74 died while 8219 have recovered and 191 are active cases.

276 in Malda:  

276 new cases, 92 release reported today from Malda. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Malda records 276 new cases, 14777 confirmed cases of which 13191 have recovered and 120 died and 1466 are active cases.

3 Discharged:

3 patients have been released from Covid hospitals that also includes home isolation patients but excluding patients in private hospitals and army establishments. 

49 patients in NBMCH

Out of 49 patients 40 are admitted in the CCU unit of the newly opened Covid Block of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH).

During the last 24 hours 8 patients are admitted in the Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are 5 patients in the Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward, 3 in Isolation ward -1 but no patients in Surgical isolation ward and in Gynecological Maternity Isolation ward.

Today’s daily state bulletin regarding the report of the last 24 hrs and from the beginning till today stated that Darjeeling district records 126 new cases,19677 confirmed cases of which 18742 have recovered and 204 died while 731 are active cases.

Similarly Kalimpong district records 9 new cases, 2319 confirmed cases of which 2232 have recovered, 27 died and 60 are active cases.

Alipurduar records 4 new cases, 7840 confirmed cases of which 7682 have recovered and 86 died while 72 are active cases.

Coochbehar records 44 new cases, 12098 confirmed cases of which 11874 have recovered, 72 died and 152 are active cases.

Jalpaiguri records 84 new cases, 1 new death, 15464 confirmed cases of which 165 died while 14832 have recovered and 467 are active cases.

Uttar Dinajpur records 58 new cases, 7471 confirmed cases of which 78 died while 6896 have recovered and 497 are active cases.

Dakshin Dinajpur records 25 new cases, 8484 confirmed cases of which 74 died while 8219 have recovered and 191 are active cases.
