KalimNews, Kalimpong, 15 April 2021: Reports received and collected regarding testing and treatment of Covid patients in the different Hospitals of North Bengal including Darjeeling district and Gorkhaland Territorial Administration during the last 24 hours:

0 Death:

Test report in the 4 districts as received from VRD Laboratory at NBMCH

Tests done in the districts of Darjeeling- 678, Kalimpong- 200, Jalpaiguri – 483, Alipurduar-508,  TOTAL= 1869 

Of these 204 tested positive.

83 in SMC

83 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (49 in Darjeeling and 34 in Jalpaiguri districts) tested positive. 

101 in Darjeeling district:

Of the 101 positive cases of the district, 49 are from the area of Darjeeling district of the SMC. 

3 cases reported from the Darjeeling Hills (3 in Darjeeling Municipality) 

49 of the plains (25 in Matigara, 14 in Naxalbari, 1 in Khoribari and 8 in Phansidewa, 1 in Sukuna) also tested positive.

187 new cases, 52 release reported during the last 24 hours from Darjeeling. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hour Darjeeling district records 187 new cases,19551 confirmed cases of which 18680 have recovered and 204 died while 667 are active cases.

12 in Kalimpong:

12 new cases, 4 release reported today from Kalimpong. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hour Kalimpong district records 12 new cases, 2310 confirmed cases of which 2229 have recovered, 27 died and 54 are active cases.

17 in Alipurduar:

17 new case, 5 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar records 17 new case, 7836 confirmed cases of which 7677 have recovered and 86 died while 73 are active cases.

33 in Coochbehar: 

33 new cases, 9 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Coochbehar records 33 new cases, 12054 confirmed cases of which 11863 have recovered, 72 died and 119 are active cases.

131 in Jalpaiguri: 

131 new cases, 32 release reported from Jalpaiguri today. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri records 131 new cases, 1 new death, 15380 confirmed cases of which 165 died while 14788 have recovered and 427 are active cases.

68 in Uttar Dinajpur:

68 new cases, 12 release reported today from Uttar Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Uttar Dinajpur records 68 new cases, 7413 confirmed cases of which 78 died while 6870 have recovered and 465 are active cases.

62 in Dakshin Dinajpur:

62 new cases, 13 release reported today from Dakshin Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Dakshin Dinajpur records 62 new cases, 8459 confirmed cases of which 74 died while 8199 have recovered and 186 are active cases.

298 in Malda:  

298 new cases, 82 release reported today from Malda. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Malda records 298 new cases, 1 new death, 14501 confirmed cases of which 13099 have recovered and 117 died and 1285 are active cases.

0 Discharged:

0 patients have been released from Covid hospitals that also includes home isolation patients but excluding patients in private hospitals and army establishments. 

44 patients in NBMCH

Out of 44 patients 38 are admitted in the CCU unit of the newly opened Covid Block of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH).

During the last 24 hours 6 patients are admitted in the Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are 3 patients in the Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward, 3 in Isolation ward -1 but no patients in Surgical isolation ward and in Gynecological Maternity Isolation ward. 

COVID PATIENTS IN THE 8 DISTRICTS OF NORTH BENGAL

Today’s daily state bulletin regarding the report of the last 24 hrs and from the beginning till today stated that Darjeeling district records 187 new cases,19551 confirmed cases of which 18680 have recovered and 204 died while 667 are active cases.

Similarly Kalimpong district records 12 new cases, 2310 confirmed cases of which 2229 have recovered, 27 died and 54 are active cases.

Alipurduar records 17 new case, 7836 confirmed cases of which 7677 have recovered and 86 died while 73 are active cases.

Coochbehar records 33 new cases, 12054 confirmed cases of which 11863 have recovered, 72 died and 119 are active cases.
