KalimNews, Kalimpong, 7 February 2021: Reports received and collected regarding testing and treatment of Covid patients in the different Hospitals in the 5 of the 7 districts of North Bengal including Darjeeling district and Gorkhaland Territorial Administration during the last 24 hours:

No Death:

3 in SMC:

3 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (2 in Darjeeling and 1 in Jalpaiguri districts) tested positive. 

4 in Darjeeling district:

Of the 4 positive cases, 2 are from the Darjeeling district of the SMC, and 1 case is reported from Darjeeling Hills and 1 in the plains.

 – 1 in Darjeeling Municipalty tested positive.

Of the plains they are- 1 in Matigara.

State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Darjeeling district records 4 new cases,18354 confirmed cases of which 18004 have recovered and 203 died while 147 are active cases.

0 new case, 1 release reported today from Kalimpong. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hour Kalimpong district records 0 new case, 2228 confirmed cases of which 2171 have recovered, 26 died and 31 are active cases.

0 new case, 4 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar records 0 new case, 7701 confirmed cases of which 7592 have recovered and 86 died while 23 are active cases.

8 new cases, 5 release reported from Jalpaiguri today. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri records 8 new cases, 14657 confirmed cases of which 162 died while 14387 have recovered and 108 are active cases.

2 in Uttar Dinajpur:

1 death, 2 new cases, 3 release reported today from Uttar Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Uttar Dinajpur records 2 new cases, 6639 confirmed cases of which 75 died while 6466 have recovered and 98 are active cases.

1 in Dakshin Dinajpur:

1 new case, 3 release reported today from Dakshin Dinajpur. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hour Dakshin Dinajpur records 1 new case, 8163 confirmed cases of which 74 died while 8051 have recovered and 38 are active cases.

1 new case, 6 release reported today from Malda. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Malda records 1 new case, 12662 confirmed cases of which 12473 have recovered and 114 died and 75 are active cases.

11 Discharged:

After testing negative and recovery 11 cases have been released from Covid hospitals that also includes home isolation patients but excluding patients in private hospitals and army establishments.

During the last 24 hours no suspected Covid patients are admitted in the Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are no patients in Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward, Gynecological Maternity Isolation ward, Surgical isolation ward and Isolation ward -1.

In Dr.Chhang’s SS Covid Hospital at Matigara, 8 Covid-19 patients (5 are in ICU) are admitted, during the last 24 hours no patients ares newly admitted while 3 are released.
