81 Covid cases in Darj district

SNS, SILIGURI.15 NOVEMBER 20: Darjeeling district recorded 81 new cases of Covid 19 today, sources said.
The fresh cases included 38 in the Siliguri Municipal Corporation. four in Darjeeling Municipality, six in Sukna , four in KurseongMunicipality, 11 in Matigara, seven in Mirik. five in Naxalbari, four in Phansidewa, one in Pulbazaar /Bijanbari, and one in Sukhia Pokhari.
Seventeen cases were also detected in the Jalpaiguri portion of the SMC.
Meanwhile, threec Siliguri residents who had tested positive for Covid-19 died in the past 24 hours, sources said. An 83-year-old person from Pradhannagar died at the designated hospital for Covid patients at Kawakhali last evening. A 60-year-old fromTumba Jote in Matigara had been admitted to the hospital on 12 November and he died today, sources said.
A 55-year-old resident of Kawakhali died in the respiratory intensive care unit of the North Bengal Medical College and Hospital today.
26 in Malda
Malda witnessed a dip in the daily count of Covid cases and reported only 26 fresh cases yesterday. The Covid tally in the district has now gone up to 10800 with 91 deaths and almost 500 active cases.
