4 death; 19 of Hills (2 of Kalimpong and 17 of Darjeeling), 55 of SMC infected, 74 Active cases in GTA

84 recovered from Covid-19, Fresh positive cases during last 24 hrs – 6 in Kalimpong, 4 in Darjeeling Municipality, 4 in Kurseong Municipality, 1 in Sukhiapokhari, 1 in Pulbazar, 7 in Mirik. Of the plains they are- 6 in Sukuna, 11 in Matigara, 5 in Naxalbari, and 4 in Phansidewa tested positive. 25 in Alipurduar, 40 in Coochbehar, 113 in Jalpaiguri and 24 in Malda tested positive.

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 15 November 2020: Reports received and collected regarding testing and treatment of Covid patients in the different Hospitals within the 5 of the 7 districts of North Bengal including Darjeeling district and Gorkhaland Territorial Administration during the last 24 hours:- 

4 Death: 

4 death reported during the last 24 hours in the designated Covid hospitals and nursing homes of Darjeeling district.

Pudu Rishi, 55 yr old of Sushrut Nagar-Kawakhali Matigara; 

Mangal Chowdhury, 35 yr old of Sutki Godown Kawakhali Matigara died in RICU ward of 

NBMCH

Yadav Das, 60 yr old of Tumbajote Matigara (admitted on 12 Nov from NBMCH);

Ranjit Kumar Chatterjee, 83 yr old of Ward no 46 Pradhan Nagar (admitted on 28 Oct from NBMCH) died in Desun Covid Hospital

55 of SMC:

55 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (38 in Darjeeling and 27 in Jalpaiguri districts) tested positive. 

81 in Darjeeling district:

Of the 81 tested positive cases of Darjeeling district 38 are from the Darjeeling district of the SMC while 17 are from the Darjeeling hills and they are- 4 in Darjeeling Municipality, 4 in Kurseong Municipality, 1 in Sukhiapokhari, 1 in Pulbazar, 7 in Mirik. Of the plains they are- 6 in Sukuna, 11 in Matigara, 5 in Naxalbari, and 4 in Phansidewa tested positive. 3 in Takdah, 5 in Khoribari, 

State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Darjeeling district records 133 new cases, 13561 confirmed cases of which 12426 have recovered and 1575 died while 978 are active cases.

2 in Kalimpong:

2 new cases from Kalimpong is reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Kalimpong district records 2 new cases, 1603 confirmed cases of which 1557 have recovered, 19 died and 27 are active cases.

24 in Malda:  

24 new case reported today from Malda. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Malda records 26 new cases, 10800 confirmed cases of which 10184 have recovered and 92 died and 524 are active cases.

25 in Alipurduar:

1 death, 25 new cases, 44 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar records 25 new cases, 6872 confirmed cases of which 6667 have recovered and 80 died while 125 are active cases.

40 in Coochbehar: 

40 new cases with 69 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Coochbehar records  47 new cases, 9904 confirmed cases of which 9162 have recovered, 57 died and 685 are active cases.

113 in Jalpaiguri: 

113 new cases reported from Jalpaiguri today. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri records 113 new cases, 10769 confirmed cases of which 111 died while 9830 have recovered and 828 are active cases.

84 Discharged:

After testing negative and recovery 84 from Dr. Chhang’s SS hospital, Desun Covid hospital and others from Safe homes were discharged today. 

NBMCH

During the last 24 hours 14 suspected Covid patients are admitted in three Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are 5 patients in Surgical isolation ward, and 7 in Gynecological Maternity Isolation ward, 2 patient in Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward and no patient in Isolation ward -1 are admitted.

1 of Lopchu T.G., 1 of Rangli Rangliot and 1 of Topkhana Kalimpong are admitted.

DR. CHHANG'S SS Covid Hospital 

At present in Dr.Chhang’s  SS Covid Hospital at Matigara, 71 Covid-19 patients are admitted while 15 are in ICU, while during the last 24 hours 8 patients are newly admitted and 11 are released.

At Dr.Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital- 3 of Kurseong, 1 each of  Marybong TG, Naya Bazar Kurseong, Sudhapa tol Kurseong, Upper Dumaram, Springside TE Kurseong, Methibari Sukuna, Methibari, Chhota Kagjhora Darjeeling, Pratap Gaon Mirik, Krishnanagar Mirik, Singbuli Mirik,  Jasbir Gaon Mirik, Phuguri Mirik, Pokhriabong, Reshab Dhura Rangli, Bijanbari and Upper Pratap gaon Kalimpong, and Sangsay Kaman Kalimpong, GTA area are admitted.

DESUN Covid Hospital

In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 73 Covid-19 patients are admitted and 8 patients are newly admitted, 12 are released.

1 each of Sibitar T.E Kurseong, Singel T.E, Sepoy Dhura, and Relli Road Kalimpong of GTA area are admitted. 

NIVEDITA Nursing Home

55 patients are admitted of which 13 are in ICU and are being treated in Isolation ward of this hospital. Of these 32 are Covid patients. 7 patients are released.

2 of Mirik, 1of Nipani Belgachhi, 1 of Nipani Bhanugram GTA admitted.

SILIGURI INDOOR STADIUM

2 from Mirik and 1 of Shantigram Kurseong admitted.

6 patients of Darjeeling and 22 from Kalimpong are admitted, 9 released and 1 referred out in this hospital.

QUARANTINE CENTRES AND SAFE HOMES

The number of Covid-19 infected people in the district of Darjeeling are, 613 in home quarantine - in Kalimpong district 634 in home quarantine, the tally of GTA area stands to 1247.

There are 27 Covid patients in 2 Covid hospital and one isolation ward of NBMCH outside GTA area, 28 in GTA area and 12 more Covid patients in 5 Safe Homes of GTA, 7 in Safe home outside GTA area, the tally of GTA being 74 active cases in Covid hospitals and safe homes.
