4 death; 22 of Hills (9 of Kalimpong and 13 of Darjeeling), 51 of SMC infected, 88 Active cases in GTA

92 recovered from Covid-19, Fresh positive cases during last 24 hrs – 9 in Kalimpong, 1 in Darjeeling Municipality, 5 in Kurseong Municipality, 1 in Pulbazar, 4 in Sukhiapokhari, 1 in Mirik and 1 in Takdah. Of the plains they are- 6 in Sukuna, 3 in Khoribari,  14 in Matigara, 18 in Naxalbari, and  3 in Phansidewa tested positive. 23 in Alipurduar, 43 in Coochbehar, 87 in Jalpaiguri, 73 in Malda tested positive.

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 14 November 2020: Reports received and collected regarding testing and treatment of Covid patients in the different Hospitals within the 5 of the 7 districts of North Bengal including Darjeeling district and Gorkhaland Territorial Administration during the last 24 hours:- 

4 Death: 

4 death reported during the last 24 hours in the designated Covid hospitals and nursing homes of Darjeeling district.

Gajen Deb Singha, 65 yr old of Debidanga Champasari Siliguri Jalpaiguri died in Desun Covid Hospital; 

Gobind Dutta,70 yr old of Thana Road Dhupguri;

Gita Rani Banik, 55  yr old of Krantihat Jalpaiguri died in Dr. Chhang’s SS Covid Hospital; 

Ranjit Debnath, 19 yr old of Kuchhlibadi Mekhligunj Coochbehar died in RICU ward of NBMCH.

51 of SMC:

51 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (35 of Darjeeling and 16 of Jalpaiguri district) tested positive. 

 

92 in Darjeeling district:

Of the 92 tested positive cases of Darjeeling district 35 are from the Darjeeling district of the SMC while 13 are is from the Darjeeling hills and they are- 1 in Darjeeling Municipality, 5 in Kurseong Municipality, 1 in Pulbazar, 4 in Sukhiapokhari, 1 in Mirik and 1 in Takdah. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Darjeeling district records 161 new cases, 13428 confirmed cases of which 12240 have recovered and 155 died while 1033 are active cases.

9 in Kalimpong:

9 new cases from Kalimpong is reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Kalimpong district records 13 new cases, 1601 confirmed cases of which 1531 have recovered, 19 died and 51 are active cases.

73 in Malda:  

73 new case reported today from Malda. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Malda records 79 new cases, 10774 confirmed cases of which 10087 have recovered and 91 died and 596 are active cases.

 

23 in Alipurduar:

23 new cases reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar records 23 new cases, 6822 confirmed cases of which 6590 have recovered and 79 died while 153 are active cases.

43 in Coochbehar: 

43 new cases with 104 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Coochbehar records  65 new cases, 9857 confirmed cases of which 9054 have recovered, 57 died and 746 are active cases.

87 in Jalpaiguri: 

1 death, 87 new cases, 147 release reported from Jalpaiguri today. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri records 157 new cases, 10656 confirmed cases of which 110 died while 9719 have recovered and 827 are active cases.

101 Discharged:

After testing negative and recovery 101 from Dr. Chhang’s SS hospital, Desun Covid hospital and others from Safe homes were discharged today. 

NBMCH

During the last 24 hours 14 suspected Covid patients are admitted in three Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are 3 patients in Surgical isolation ward, and 6 in Gynecological Maternity Isolation ward, 5 patient in Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward and no patient in Isolation ward -1 are admitted.

1 of Lopchu T.G., 1 of Rangli Rangliot and 1 of Topkhana Kalimpong are admitted.

DR. CHHANG'S SS Covid Hospital 

At present in Dr.Chhang’s  SS Covid Hospital at Matigara, 68 Covid-19 patients are admitted while 14 are in ICU, while during the last 24 hours 9 patients are newly admitted and 8 are released.

At Dr.Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital- 1 each of  Tamsang, Marybong TG, Naya Bazar, Kurseong, Sudhapa tol Kurseong, Upper Dumaram, Springside TE Kurseong, Methibari Sukuna, 2 of Kurseong, 1 each of Chhota Kagjhora Darjeeling, Pratap Gaon Mirik, Krishnanagar Mirik,Pokhriabong, Singbuli Mirik,  Reshab Dhura Rangli, Rajbari, Lava Suntalay and Sangsay Kaman, GTA area are admitted.

DESUN Covid Hospital

In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 78 Covid-19 patients are admitted and 9 patients are newly admitted, 14 are released.

1 of Subedar Busty Kurseong, 1 each of Sibitar T.E, Singel T.E, Sepoy Dhura, and Relli Road Kalimpong of GTA area are admitted.

QUARANTINE CENTRES AND SAFE HOME

The number of Covid-19 infected people in the district of Darjeeling are, 613 in home quarantine - in Kalimpong district 642 in home quarantine, the tally of GTA area stands to 1255.

There are 27 Covid patients in 2 Covid hospital and one isolation ward outside GTA area, 36 in GTA area and 18 more Covid patients in 5 Safe Homes of GTA, 7 in Safe home outside GTA area, the tally of GTA being 88 active cases in Covid hospitals and safe homes.

Today’s daily state bulletin regarding the report of the last 24 hrs stated that Darjeeling district records 161 new cases, 13428 confirmed cases of which 12240 have recovered and 155 died while 1033 are active cases.

Similarly Kalimpong district records 13 new cases, 1601 confirmed cases of which 1531 have recovered, 19 died and 51 are active cases.

Alipurduar records 25 new cases, 6847 confirmed cases of which 6634 have recovered and 80 died while 133 are active cases.

Coochbehar records  65 new cases, 9857 confirmed cases of which 9054 have recovered, 57 died and 746 are active cases.

Jalpaiguri records 157 new cases, 10656 confirmed cases of which 110 died while 9719 have recovered and 827 are active cases.

Malda records 79 new cases, 10774 confirmed cases of which 10087 have recovered and 91 died and 596 are active cases.
