3 death, 38 of Hills (8 of Kalimpong and 30 of Darjeeling), 80 of SMC infected, 65 Active cases in GTA

75 recovered from Covid-19, Fresh positive cases during last 24 hrs – 8 in Kalimpong, - 1 in Darjeeling Municipality, 15 in Kurseong Municipality, 2 in Pulbazar, 12 in Mirik. Of the plains they are- 15 in Sukuna, 8 in Khoribari,  34 in Matigara, 22 in Naxalbari, and 7 in Phansidewa tested positive. 37 in Alipurduar, 102 in Coochbehar, 126 in Jalpaiguri, 64 in Malda tested positive.

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 4 November 2020: Reports received and collected regarding testing and treatment of Covid patients in the different Hospitals within the 5 of the 7 districts of North Bengal including Darjeeling district and Gorkhaland Territorial Administration during the last 24 hours:- 

3 Death: 3 death reported during the last 24 hours in the designated Covid hospitals and nursing homes of Darjeeling district.

Partha Sarathi Roy, 46 yr old of Dhupguri BDO Office Para;

Bablu Shil, 56 yr old of Thiknikatta Kalibari Sushrutnagar ;

Mili Das, 61 yr old of Subhaspalli Birpara died in Desun Covid Hospital.   

80 of SMC:

80 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (55 of Darjeeling and 25 of Jalpaiguri district) tested positive. 

171 in Darjeeling district:

Of the  171 tested positive cases of Darjeeling district 55 are from the Darjeeling district of the SMC while 30 are from the Darjeeling hills and they are- 1 in Darjeeling Municipality, 15 in Kurseong Municipality, 2 in Pulbazar, 12 in Mirik. Of the plains they are- 15 in Sukuna, 8 in Khoribari,  34 in Matigara, 22 in Naxalbari, and 7 in Phansidewa tested positive. 

State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Darjeeling district with 140 new cases has 12051 confirmed cases of which 10531 have recovered and 142 died while 1378 are active cases. 

8 in Kalimpong: 

8 new cases from Kalimpong is reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours  Kalimpong district with 5 new cases has 1469 confirmed cases of which 1358 have recovered, 15 died and 96 are active cases. 

64 in Malda: 

64 new cases reported today from Malda. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Malda with 165 new cases has 10146 confirmed cases of which 9036 have recovered and 88 died and 1022 are active cases.

37 in Alipurduar:

37 new cases, 52 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar with 27 new cases has 6516 confirmed cases of which 6187 have recovered and 76 died while 253 are active cases. 

102 in Coochbehar: 

102 new cases with 70 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last24 hours Coochbehar with 102 new cases has 8952 confirmed cases of which 7942 have recovered, 54 died and 956 are active cases. 

126 in Jalpaiguri: 

new cases, 151 release reported from Jalpaiguri today. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri with 77 new cases has 9480 confirmed cases of which 91 died while 8361 have recovered and 1028 are active cases.  

75 Discharged:

After testing negative and recovery 75 from Dr. Chhang’s SS hospital, Desun Covid hospital and others from Safe homes were discharged today. 

NBMCH

During the last 24 hours 15 suspected Covid patients are admitted in three Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are 5 patients in Surgical isolation ward, and 8 in Female -Gynecological Isolation ward, 2 patient in Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward and no patient in Isolation ward -1 are admitted.

1of Kurseong and 1 of Sukuna are admitted.

DR. CHHANG'S SS Covid Hospital 

At present in Dr.Chhang’s SS Covid Hospital at Matigara, 70 Covid-19 patients are admitted while 19 are in ICU, while during the last 24 hours 13 patients are newly admitted and 5 are released.

At Dr.Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital- 1 each of  Singel TE, Bhotay Busty Darjeeling, Ging, Ava Art Gallery, 1 of Ujjaray Busty Kurseong, Mahanadi Bazar Kurseong, Borbong Kurseong, St. Mary’s Hill, Dowhill, Kharey Makaibari, Tamsang Khasmahal, Kurseong, Dudhia, Mungpoo, NorthPoint Darjeeling and Jholung GTA area are admitted.

DESUN Covid Hospital

In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 73 Covid-19 patients are admitted and 9 patients are newly admitted, 3 are released.

1 each of Paren Jaldhaka, Sindebong Kalimpong and 10^th Mile Kalimpong of GTA area are admitted. 

NIVEDITA Nursing Home

55 patients are admitted of which 13 are in ICU and are being treated in Isolation ward of this hospital. Of these 32 are Covid patients. 7 patients are released.

The number of Covid-19 infected people in the district of Darjeeling are, 648 in home quarantine - in Kalimpong district 641 in home quarantine, the tally of GTA area stands to 1289.

There are 21 Covid patients in 2 Covid hospital outside GTA area, 31 in GTA area and 12 more Covid patients in 5 Safe Homes of GTA, 1 in Safe home outside GTA area, the tally of GTA being 65 active cases in Covid hospitals and safe homes.
