Low Pressure Area over Eastcentral &adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal has intensified into depression over Westcentral Bay of Bengal and lay centred at 0830 hrs IST of today, the 11th October, 2020

Southwest monsoon has been active over Odisha and Andaman & Nicobar Islands and subdued over Bihar, Sikkim and Sub Himalayan West Bengal. 

Heavy rain occurred at one or two places over Andaman Islands. Rain occurred at most places over Andaman & Nicobar Islands; at many places over Odisha; at a few places over Gangetic West Bengal and at one or two places over Jharkhand. 

Weather remained mainly dry over Bihar,Sikkim and Sub Himalayan West Bengal. 

Yesterday’s Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Eastcentral &adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal has intensified into depression over Westcentral Bay of Bengal and lay centred at 0830 hrs IST of today, the 11th October, 2020 near latitude 15.4°N and longitude 86.2°E, about 400 km south-southeast of Vishakhapatnam (Andhra Pradesh), 450 km southeast of Kakinada (Andhra Pradesh) and 490 kmeast-southeast of Narsapur (Andhra Pradesh). 

It is very likely to intensify further into a deep depression during next 24 hours. It is very likely to move west-northwestwards and cross north Andhra Pradesh coast between Narsapur & Vishakhapatnam during 12th October, 2020 night. A fresh Low Pressure Area is likely to form overnorth Andaman Sea & neighbourhood around 14th October,

1) Heavy rain (7-11cm) likely to occur at one or two places over Andaman Islands and Odisha. 

2) Thunderstorms with lightning are likely to occur at one or two places over Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal.

Monday 12 October (DAY2) :

1) Heavy to very heavy rain (7-20cm) likely to occur at one or two places over Odisha.

2) Heavy rain (7-11)cm likely to occur at one or two places over Andaman Islands. 

3) Thunderstorms with lightning are likely to occur at one or two places over Jharkhand and Gangetic West Bengal.

Tuesday 13 October(DAY3) : Heavy rain (7-11)cm likely to occur at one or two places over Andaman Islands and Odisha.

Wednesday 14 October(DAY4) : 

1) Heavy rain (7-11cm) likely to occur at one or two places over Andaman Islands.

2) Thunderstorms with lightning are likely to occur at one or two places over Gangetic West Bengal.

Thursday 15 October(DAY5) : Heavy rain (7-11cm) likely to occur at one or two places over Andaman Islands
