1 of Siliguri died, 86 recovered from Covid-19,  Fresh positive cases during last 24 hrs – 85 of Darjeeling district, 12 of Kalimpong, 7 in Darjeeling, 4 in Kurseong, 1 in Pulbazar. Of the plains they are- 5 in Sukuna, 11 in Matigara, 7 in Naxalbari, 2 in Phansidewa and 9 in Khoribari, 65 in Alipurduar, 31 in Jalpaiguri, 93 in Coochbehar, 142 in Malda tested positive.

1 Death: 1 deaths reported during the last 24 hours in Covid hospitals of Darjeeling district.

Ashis Sarkar, 58 yr old of  Dakshin Shantigram of Dabgram 2 died in Desun Covid hospital

49 of SMC:

49 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (39 in Darjeeling and 10 in Jalpaiguri districts) tested positive. 

85 of Darjeeling district:

Of the 85 tested positive cases of Darjeeling district 39 are from the Darjeeling district of the SMC while 12 are from the Darjeeling hills and they are - 7 in Darjeeling Municipality, 4 in Kurseong Municipality, 1 in Pulbazar. Of the plains they are- 5 in Sukuna, 11 in Matigara, 7 in Naxalbari, 2 in Phansidewa and 9 in Khoribari, tested positive. 

State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Darjeeling district with 87 new cases has 8921 confirmed cases of which 8001 have recovered and 122 died while 798 are active cases. 

12 of Kalimpong: 

12 new case from Kalimpong reported, State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Kalimpong district with 19 new cases has 1162 confirmed cases of which 995 have recovered, 8 died and 159 are active cases. 

142 of Malda: 

142 new cases, 73 release reported today from Malda. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Malda with 125 new cases has 7823 confirmed cases of which 6922 have recovered and 58 died and 843 are active cases

65 of Alipurduar:

65 new cases, 76 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar with 65 new cases has 5404 confirmed cases of which 4780 have recovered and 66 died while 558 are active cases

93 of Coochbehar: 

93 new cases with 59 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Coochbehar with 97 new cases has 6780 confirmed cases of which 5948 have recovered, 44 died and 788 are active cases. 

31 of Jalpaiguri: 

31 new cases 11 release reported from Jalpaiguri today. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri with 70 new cases has 6923 confirmed cases of which 65 died while 6164 have recovered and 694 are active cases. 

86 Discharged:

After testing negative and recovery 86 from Dr. Chhang’s SS hospital, Desun Covid hospital and other from Safe homes were discharged today. 

NBMCH

26 suspected Covid patients are admitted in three Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are 9 patients in Surgical isolation ward, and 11 in Female -Gynecological Isolation ward, 6 patients in Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward and no patient in Isolation ward -1 are admitted.

1 of Kumai and 1 of Samabeong TE Lava are admitted.

DR. CHHANG'S SS Covid Hospital 

In Dr.Chhang’s SS Covid Hospital at Matigara, Covid-19 patients are admitted. At Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital- 3 of Kurseong,1 each of Naya Bazar Kurseong, Badamtam TE, Som TE, GCP Kurseong, Gidha Chandra Busty, Kurseong Hospital, Bagora and Singel TE and 1 each of Sadhudhara, East Main Road, Kalimpong,  and Munsong and 2 of Kalimpong of GTA area are admitted.

DESUN Covid Hospital

In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 76 Covid-19 patients are admitted and  no patients are newly admitted and 14 released.

1 each of Montiviot Road Kurseong and 9^th Mile and Buthcery Kalimpong of GTA area are admitted.

QUARANTINE CENTRES AND SAFE HOMES

The number of Covid-19 infected people in the district of Darjeeling are, 1039 in home quarantine - in Kalimpong district 624 in home quarantine, the tally of GTA area stands to 1663.

There are 17 Covid patients in 2 Covid hospital outside GTA area, 26 in GTA area and 32 more Covid patients in 5 Safe Homes of GTA, 4 in Safe home outside GTA area, the tally of GTA being 79 active cases in Covid hospitals and safe homes.
