Of the plains they are- 4 in Sukuna, 19 in Matigara, 15 in Naxalbari, 11 in Phansidewa and 8 in Khoribari. 70 in Alipurduar, 121 in Jalpaiguri, 92 in Coochbehar, 71 in Malda tested positive.

8 deaths reported during the last 24 hours in Covid hospitals of Darjeeling district.

Niranjan Roy, 85 yr old of Hospital para Jalpaiguri,  

Shailendranath Burman, 70 yr old of Rangapani  Bagdogra,

Anil Kumar Karmakar, 75 yr old of Deshpriya Sarani Bhaktinagar NJP,

Priyabala Sarkar, 70 yr old of Madhyapara Samuktala Alipurduar,

Rajatkanti Chakraborty, 70 yr old of DBC Road Kadamtala Jalpaiguri died in Desun Covid Hospital.

Champa Saha, 60 yr old of Upper Chalsa,

Dulalchandra Saha, 65 yr old of Natun Saha Para Ward no 17, Alipurduar,

Sefali Ghose, 74 yr old of Hakimpara Siliguri died in Dr. Chhang’s Covid hospital

 

52 of SMC:

52 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation (39 in Darjeeling and 13 in Jalpaiguri districts) tested positive. IC of Siliguri Police Station tested positive.

 

104 of Darjeeling district:

3 died, Of the 104 tested positive cases of Darjeeling district 39 are from the Darjeeling district of the SMC while 8 are from the Darjeeling hills and they are - 2 in Darjeeling Municipality, 2 in Kurseong Municipality, 1 in Sukhiapokhari, 1 in Mirik, 1 in Pulbazar and 1 in Takdah. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Darjeeling district with 107 new cases has 9133 confirmed cases of which 8194 have recovered and 124 died while 815 are active cases. 

 

22 of Kalimpong: 

22 new cases from Kalimpong reported, State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Kalimpong district with 22 new cases has 1198 confirmed cases of which 1021 have recovered, 8 died and 169 are active cases. 

 

71 of Malda: 

71 new cases, 161 release reported today from Malda. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Malda with 71 new cases has 79921 confirmed cases of which 7124 have recovered and 63 died and 805 are active cases.

 

70 of Alipurduar:

2 died, 70 new cases, 67 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Alipurduar with 70 new cases has 5538 confirmed cases of which 4884 have recovered and 67 died while 587 are active cases. 

 

92 of Coochbehar: 

1 died, 92 new cases with 89 release reported. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Coochbehar with 67 new cases has 6939 confirmed cases of which 6142 have recovered, 45 died and 752 are active cases. 

 

121 of Jalpaiguri: 

3 dead, 121 new cases 92 release reported from Jalpaiguri today. State Health department’s daily bulletin states that within the last 24 hours Jalpaiguri with 121 new cases has 7118 confirmed cases of which 69 died while 6350 have recovered and 699 are active cases. 

 

61 Discharged:

After testing negative and recovery 61 from Dr. Chhang’s SS hospital, Desun Covid hospital and other from Safe homes were discharged today. 

 

NBMCH

23 suspected Covid patients are admitted in three Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). There are 8 patients in Surgical isolation ward, and 14 in Female -Gynecological Isolation ward, 1 patients in Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) ward and no patient in Isolation ward -1 are admitted.

1 of Kumai is admitted.

 

DR. CHHANG'S SS Covid Hospital 

In Dr.Chhang’s SS Covid Hospital at Matigara, Covid-19 patients are admitted. At Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital- Badamtam TE, Som TE, GCP Kurseong, Gidha Chandra Busty, Kurseong Hospital, Tungsung, Kurseong, Bagora, Darjeeling, Lower Mansing Sittong and Singel TE and 1 each of Sadhudhara, East Main Road, Sindebong, Pudung Busty Kalimpong,  and 2 of Kalimpong of GTA area are admitted.

 

DESUN Covid Hospital

In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 74 Covid-19 patients are admitted and  5 patients are newly admitted and 1 released.

1 each of Montiviot Road Kurseong and 9th Mile and Butchery Kalimpong of GTA area are admitted. 

 

NIVEDITA Nursing Home

55 patients are admitted of which 13 are in ICU and are being treated in Isolation ward of this hospital. Of these 32 are Covid patients. 7 patients are released. 25 patients are being treated in its Safe home.

The number of Covid-19 infected people in the district of Darjeeling are, 872 in home quarantine - in Kalimpong district 652 in home quarantine, the tally of GTA area stands to 1524.

There are 20 Covid patients in 2 Covid hospital outside GTA area, 33 in GTA area and 29 more Covid patients in 5 Safe Homes of GTA, 4 in Safe home outside GTA area, the tally of GTA being 86 active cases in Covid hospitals and safe homes.
