2 death: 

Subhankar Chakraborty, 97 year old of Jaipurhat Masterpara Rajsahi Bangladesh died at Desun hospital was suffering from pneumonia. He had been to his daughters house at Palpara of Islampur. Kanhaiya Lal Sharma, 75 year old of Ward no 9 died at Desun hospital.

43 of Siliguri Municipal Corporation: During the last 24 hrs 43 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation 28 of Darjeeling and 15 from Jalpaiguri district) tested positive. They are- 4  of Ward nos.11, 35, 39;  3  of Ward nos.1, 5, 27 ; 2 of Ward nos.14, 21, 43, 46; 1 of Ward nos. 13, 18, 24, 25, 28, 31, 32, 38, 47.

101 of Darjeeling district

Of the 101 positive cases of Darjeeling district 28 are from Darjeeling district of SMC while 73 cases are reported from different areas of the district during the last 24 hrs. They are 6 of Kalimpong, 10 of Darjeeling Municipality, 6 of Kurseong (4 of Municipality area), 2 of Pulbazar, 7 of Takdah, 3 of Sukhiapokhari, 18 of Naxalbari, 22 of Matigara, 3 of Phansidewa and 2 of Khoribari are active cases. 5 patients of NBMCH, and an intern of NBMCH. 

Darjeeling district has 4245 confirmed cases of which 3307 have recovered and 60 died while 878 are active cases

6 of Kalimpong district: 6 cases reported from Kalimpong. Of the six 2 are from 10th mile Ward no.4, 1 each from Ringkingpong Road, Mangal Dandra, Mission Compound and Ward No.9

There are 398 confirmed cases of which 258 have recovered, 2 died and 138 are active cases. 

 

134 of Malda:  2 died, 134 new cases reported today from Malda. Malda has 4406 confirmed cases of which 3659 have recovered and 27 died and 720 are active cases.

 

31 of Alipurduar:  1 died, 31 new cases reported. In the district there are 1284 confirmed cases of which 890 have recovered and 6 died while 388 are active cases.

67 of Coochbehar:  67 new cases of Covid 19 infection with 47 recovery is reported today. The complete report of the district is, 2082 confirmed cases of which 1609 have recovered, 4 died and 469 are active cases.

87 of Jalpaiguri:  87 new cases reported from Jalpaiguri today. Jalpaiguri has 2721 confirmed cases of which 25 died while 2038 have recovered and 658 are active cases. 

 

38 Discharged: 

After testing negative and recovery 14 of Dr. Chhang’s SS hospital and 5 of Desun Covid hospital and others from Safe homes were discharged today.

NBMCH

26 suspected Covid patients are admitted in three Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH).

There are 1 patient in ID-1, 20 in Surgical Isolation, 1 patient in Respiratory Illness Care Unit (RICU), and 4 in Children- Female -Gynecological Isolation ward are admitted. 

1 of Kurseong admitted.

 

DR. CHHANG'S SS Covid Hospital 

At Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital 92 patients are admitted today in this hospital at Himanchal Vihar of which 24 are newly admitted while 14 are released. 

7 of Kurseong, 1 of Mirik and 1 of Jorebunglow and 3 of Kalimpong admitted, 1 of Kurseong released.

 

DESUN Covid Hospital

In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 61 Covid-19 patients are admitted of which 23 are in ICU and 19 patients are newly admitted and 5 released.

1 each from Dr Zakir Hussain Road Darjeeling, Kurseong and Sukhiapokhari are admitted in this hospital. 

 

NIVEDITA Nursing Home

49 patients of which 10 are in ICU and are being treated in Isolation ward of this hospital. Of these 35 are Covid patients.5 released.

QUARANTINE CENTRES AND SAFE HOMES

The number of people in home quarantine in the district of Darjeeling is 1006 and in Kalimpong district is 693, the tally of GTA area stands to 1699. 

There are 15 Covid patients in 2 Covid hospitals outside GTA area, 32 in GTA area and 50 more Covid patients in 5 Safe Homes of GTA, 4 in 2 Safe homes out of GTA area, the tally being 101 as active cases.

Today’s daily state bulletin stated that Darjeeling district has 4245 confirmed cases of which 3307 have recovered and 60 died while 878 are active cases.
