KalimNews, Kalimpong, 22 August 2020: Rate of recovery of Covid-19 cases in West Bengal during the last 24 hours is 77.41 percent.

In the state the number of new cases also has been increasing, it has recorded 3232 new cases (1 day before-3245, 2 days before- 3197) as well as 48 death (1 day before-55, 2 days before- 53) during the last 24 hours.

The total number of recovery is 3088 (1 day before-3082, 2 days before- 3126) and 135596 confirmed cases (1 day before-132364, 2 days before- 129119) while active cases is 27900 (1 day before-27804, 2 days before-27696). The death toll from the disease in the state till now is 2737 (1 day before-2689, 2 days before-2634). After recovery of the infection 104959 (1 day before-101871, days before- 98789) Covid patients are released from all the Covid hospitals of the state.

The testing of swab samples for Covid-19 in 70, ICMR testing labs is being done and in the last 24 hours 36318 (1 day before-36229, 2 days before-35059) samples were tested that tally 1524162 (1 day before-1487884, 2 days before-1451615) till now since day 1.

In the last 24 hours, 47305 persons (1 day before-46037, 2 days before- 45184) were under home quarantine/ observation/ surveillance and a total of 479322 persons (1 day before-474665, 2 days before-469574) were in the home quarantine/ observation/ surveillance till today.

Number of people released from home quarantine was 432017 (1 day-428628, 2 days before- 424390).

Currently in the 582 institutional government quarantine centres there are 2559 persons (1 day before-2592, 2 days before- 2610) and so far from these centres 107017 persons (1 day before-106974, 2 days before- 106908) were released after recovery.

Currently in the state there are 86 Hospitals dedicated for treating COVID-19, 31 Government Covid hospitals and 55 Private Covid-19 hospitals.
