Record spike of 41 death, 2905 new cases, 98459 confirmed cases, 26031 active cases, 3208 recovery, recovery rate increased to 71.43%.

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 10 August 2020: Rate of recovery of Covid-19 cases in West Bengal during the last 24 hours is 71.43 percent.

In the state the number of new cases also has been increasing and during the last 24 hours it has recorded 2905 new cases (1 day before-2939, 2 days before- 2949) as well as 41 death (1 day before-54, 2 days before- 51) during the last 24 hours.

The total number of recovery is 3208 (1 day before-1996, 2 days before- 2064) and confirmed cases 98459 (1 day before-95554, 2 days before- 92615) while active cases is 26031 (1 day before-26375, 2 days before-25486). The death toll from the disease in the state till now is 2100 (1 day before-2059, 2 days before-2005). After recovery of the infection 70328 (1 day before-67120, days before- 65124) Covid patients are released from all the Covid hospitals of the state.

The testing of swab samples for Covid-19 in 60, ICMR testing labs is being done and in the last 24 hours 26297 (1 day before-26242, 2 days before-25148) samples were tested that tally 1132196 (1 day before-1105899, 2 days before- 1079657) till now since day 1.

In the last 24 hours, 26301 persons (1 day before-27204, 2 days before- 27374) were under home quarantine/ observation/ surveillance and a total of 425434 persons (1 day before-424343, 2 days before- 422569) were in the home quarantine/ observation/ surveillance till today.

Number of people released from home quarantine was 399133 (1 day-397139, 2 days before- 395195).

Currently in the 582 institutional government quarantine centres there are 2829 persons (1 day before-2859, 2 days before- 2802) and so far from these centres 106926 persons (1 day before-106280, 2 days before- 106199) were released after recovery.

Currently in the state there are 83 Hospitals dedicated for treating COVID-19, 28 Government Covid hospitals and 55 Private Covid-19 hospitals.
