District report- Recovery- 21, Death – 4, Positive case- 66 of SMC, 47 of Kalimpong, 5 of Darjeeling Municipality, one each of Bijanbari, Kurseong, Sukna, Sukhia Pokhari and Khoribari, 11 of Naxalbari, 18 of Matigara, 112 of Malda, 89 of Alipurduar, 51 of Jalpaiguri, 45 of Coochbehar, tested positive

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 10 August 2020: 

4 died of Covid  : 4 patients died in different hospitals of Siliguri within 24 hrs. They are from Ward no 29, Kishanganj-Bihar, Balurghat and Gangarampur of West Dinajpur.

66 of Siliguri Municipal Corporation: During the last 24 hrs 66 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation – 43 under the district of Darjeeling and 23 under Jalpaiguri tested positive. 

39 of Darjeeling district:   39 of the district in different areas other than SMC area tested positive. 5 of Darjeeling Municipality, one each of Bijanbari, Kurseong, Sukna, Sukhia Pokhari and Khoribari, 11 of Naxalbari and 18 of Matigara.

There are 3110 Confirmed cases, 2304 have recovered and 39 died and 767 are active cases.

 

47 of Kalimpong district: 47 new cases is reported today of which 1 is from Harijan Road of Kalimpong town while others are from Rambi and Malli. There are 180 Confirmed cases, 94 have recovered and 2 died and 85 are active cases

 

112 of Malda: 112 new cases reported today from Malda. There are 3170 Confirmed cases, 2473 have recovered and 18 died and 680 are active cases. 

 

89 of Alipurduar: 89 new case reported. In the district there are 729 Confirmed cases, 422 recovered, 4 died and 303 active cases. 

 

45 of Coochbehar:  45  new cases of Covid 19 infection is reported today. The complete report of the district is 1412 confirmed cases of which 2 are nationals of Bangladesh and 1 of them had died, 962 recovery and 950 active cases 

 

51 of Jalpaiguri: 51 new cases reported from Jalpaiguri today. It includes 5 of Jalpaiguri, 7 of Mal, Nagarkatta ,13 Maynaguri,  1 of Matelli, 18 of Dhupguri. 3 of Rajgunj. In the district there are 1830 confirmed cases of which 1373 have recovered, 14 died and 443 active cases.  

 

21 Discharged: 

After testing negative twice and recovery, 21 patients from Dr. Chhang’s Covid Super specialty hospital, Desun Covid hospital, Nivedita nursing home and from Safe homes and home isolation were discharged today.

 

NBMCH

21 suspected Covid patients are admitted in three Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH).

There are 1 patient in Isolation ward-I, 4 patients in Surgical Isolation ward, 5 patients in Respiratory Illness Care Unit (RICU), and 11 in Gynecological Isolation ward are admitted. 

1 of Jholung and 1 of Longview Kurseong are admitted.

 

DR. CHHANG'S SS Covid Hospital 

At Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital 53 patients are admitted today in this hospital at Himanchal Vihar of which 10 are newly admitted while 15 are released. 

1 no of Panighatta admitted.

DESUN Covid Hospital

In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 65 Covid-19 patients are admitted of which 17 patients are being treated in ICU. 9 are newly admitted and 17 are released and 1 dead.

2 of Kurseong, 1 each from Bagora Kurseong, Bloomfield, Ghoom and Jorebunglow are admitted in this hospital.

 

NIVEDITA Nursing Home

48 patients are being treated in Isolation ward of this hospital. Of these 34 are Covid patients.

2 died and 7 are released.

QUARANTINE CENTRES AND SAFE HOMES

The number of people in home quarantine in the district of Darjeeling is 1032 and in Kalimpong district is 665, the tally of GTA area stands to 1574. 

Altogether there are 47 persons in 3 institutional facility quarantines.

There are 21 Covid patients in 3 Covid hospitals and 42 more Covid patients in 4 Safe Homes of GTA. and 6 in 2 Safe Homes outside GTA the tally being 69 Covid patients.

Today’s daily state bulletin stated that Darjeeling district has 3110 confirmed cases of which 2304 have recovered and 39 died while 767 are active cases. 

Similarly Kalimpong district has 180 confirmed cases of which 94 have recovered, 1 died and 85 are active cases. 

Alipurduar has 729 confirmed cases of which 422 have recovered and 4 died while 303 are active cases. 

Jalpaiguri has 1830 confirmed cases of which 14 died while 1373 have recovered and 443 are active cases. 

Coochbehar has 1412 confirmed cases of which 962 have recovered, 0 died and  450 are active cases. 

Malda has 3170 confirmed cases of which 2473 have recovered and 17 died and 469 are active cases.

Uttar Dinajpur has 1396 confirmed cases of which 1132 have recovered and 13 died and 251 are active cases.

Dakshin Dinajpur has 1854 confirmed cases of which 1315 have recovered and 13 died and 526 are active cases.
