5 dies of Covid : 

Ram Swarup Marodia, 70 yr old of Jalpaimore died at DESUN Covid hospital.

Babul Manik, 66 yr old of Krantihat Jalpaiguri; Ranjit Saha, 55 yr old of Sahapara Maynaguri; 66 yr old of Jyotinagar Siliguri  died at Dr. Chhang SS Covid Hospital.

Farida Khatun, 32 yr old woman of Chakulia -Thakurbari, Uttar Dinajpur died at RICU ward of NBMCH.

42 of Siliguri Municipal Corporation: During the last 24 hrs 42 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation – 18 under the district of Darjeeling and 24 under Jalpaiguri tested positive. 

3  of Ward nos.33, 39, 46; 2 of Ward nos. 20, 40, 32, 37, 38, 43; 1 each of Ward no 2, 4, 5, 8, 9, 12, 16, 20, 30. Beside these 1 each of NBSTC, Jyotinagar, Ashrampara, Salugara, Uttar Ektiasal and 2 of Khalpara and  others tested positive. 

50 of Darjeeling district:   Beside 42 of SMC, 32 of the district in different areas - 2 of Kurseong, 1 of Sukuna, 14 of Matigara including 6 of BSF Kadamtala and 2 staff of Dr Chhangs’ Covid hospital, 14 of Naxalbari,  3 of Phansidewa, 1 of Khoribari tested positive.

In the district there are 3507 confirmed cases of which 2681 have recovered and 45 died while 781 are active cases.

2 of Kalimpong district: During a Rapid antigen test drive done in Kalimpong, one person of Ward no 7 and another of Ward No. 4 tested positive.

There are 284 confirmed cases of which 107 have recovered, 1 died and 176 are active cases.

116 of Malda:  116 new cases reported today from Malda. There are 3506 Confirmed cases, 2009 have recovered and 22 died and 949 are active cases.  

32 of Alipurduar:  32 new cases reported. In the district there are 726 Confirmed cases, 333 recovered, 7 died and 387 active cases. 

57 of Coochbehar:  57 new cases of Covid 19 infection with 86 recovery is reported today. The complete report of the district is 1463 confirmed cases of which 2 are nationals of Bangladesh and 1 of them had died, 1178 recovery and 285 active cases 

93 of Jalpaiguri: 2 died, 93 new cases reported from Jalpaiguri today. 1 of Jalpaiguri, 6 of Malbazar, 19 of Maynaguri, 5 of Rajgunj , 2 of Nagarkatta.

In the district there are 2060 confirmed cases of which 1579 have recovered, 21 died and 443 active cases.  

29 Discharged: 

After testing negative and recovery, 5 patients from Dr. Chhang’s Covid Super specialty hospital and 19 Desun Covid hospital, and others from Safe homes and home isolation were discharged today.

NBMCH

10 suspected Covid patients are admitted in three Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH).

There is 1 in Surgical Isolation, 3 patients in Respiratory Illness Care Unit (RICU), and 6 in Female -Gynecological Isolation ward are admitted, one died in NBMCH. 

DR. CHHANG'S SS Covid Hospital 

At Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital 57 patients are admitted today in this hospital at Himanchal Vihar of which 14 are newly admitted while 5 are released and 3 died. 

DESUN Covid Hospital

In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 52 Covid-19 patients are admitted of which 12 patients are newly admitted and 19 are released. 2 patients died here.

1 each from Dr Zakir Hussain Road Darjeeling, Dudhia and Kurseong are admitted in this hospital. 1 of Bagora Kurseong is released. 

NIVEDITA Nursing Home

49 patients are being treated in Isolation ward of this hospital. Of these 36 are Covid patients.

QUARANTINE CENTRES AND SAFE HOMES

The number of people in home quarantine in the district of Darjeeling is 1181 and in Kalimpong district is 687, the tally of GTA area stands to 1868. 

Altogether there are 8 persons in 1 institutional facility quarantine.

There are 12 Covid patients in 2 Covid hospitals outside GTA area, 61 in GTA area and 66 more Covid patients in 5 Safe Homes of GTA, the tally being 147 as active cases.

Number of Covid patients in the eight districts of North Bengal

Today’s daily state bulletin stated that Darjeeling district has 3439 confirmed cases of which 2584 have recovered and 44 died while 811 are active cases. 

Similarly Kalimpong district has 277 confirmed cases of which 107 have recovered, 1 died and 169 are active cases. 

Alipurduar has 905 confirmed cases of which 533 have recovered and 6 died while 366 are active cases. 

Jalpaiguri has 2060 confirmed cases of which 19 died while 1579 have recovered and 462 are active cases. 

Coochbehar has 1637 confirmed cases of which 1166 have recovered, 1 died and  470 are active cases. 

Malda has 3643 confirmed cases of which 2734 have recovered and 19 died and 890 are active cases.

Uttar Dinajpur has 1537 confirmed cases of which 1220 have recovered and 14 died and 303 are active cases.

Dakshin Dinajpur has 2063 confirmed cases of which 1598 have recovered and 17 died and 448 are active cases.
