2 dies of Covid :

Bikash Chandra Lama, 56 yr of Harey Krishna Palli Bagdogra; Kanhai Pal, 70 yr of Ghughumali died.

 

48 of Siliguri Municipal Corporation: During the last 24 hrs 48 of Siliguri Municipality Corporation – 14 under the district of Darjeeling and 34 under Jalpaiguri tested positive. 

5 (of Malllaguri police camp) of Ward nos. 47;  4 of Ward nos. 2, 35, 40;  3 of Ward nos. 36, 37;  2 of Ward nos. 19, 28,  31, 33, 41, 42, 46: 1 of Ward nos. 1, 6, 14, 24, 39 and others tested positive.

 

93 of Darjeeling district:   Beside 24 of SMC, 69 of the district in different areas such as- 3 of Darjeeling Municipality 10 of Kurseong, 2 of Sukuna, 17 of Matigara, 30 of Naxalbari, 1 of Phansidewa, 6 of Khoribari tested positive.

Darjeeling district has 3580 confirmed cases of which 2764 have recovered and 50 died while 766 are active cases. 

 

3 of Kalimpong district: During a Rapid antigen test drive done in Kalimpong, two persons of a family at 6 Mile and another of Shantinagar, Kalimpong tested positive.

There are 297 confirmed cases of which 121 have recovered, 2 died and 175 are active cases. 

 

110 of Malda:  110 new cases reported today from Malda. Malda has 3894 confirmed cases of which 2938 have recovered and 21 died and 935 are active cases

 

18 of Alipurduar:  18 new cases reported. In the district there are 957 confirmed cases of which 601 have recovered and 6 died while 350 are active cases. 

 

58 of Coochbehar:  58 new cases of Covid 19 infection with 54 recovery is reported today. The complete report of the district is 1744 confirmed cases of which 2 are nationals of Bangladesh and 1 of them had died, 1267 recovery and 476 active cases.

 

44 of Jalpaiguri:  44 new cases reported from Jalpaiguri today. 7 of Jalpaiguri central correctional home, 2 of Malbazar, 13 of Dhupguri, 9 of Rajgunj , 2 of Nagarkatta.

In the district there are 2188 confirmed cases of which 22 died while 1675 have recovered and 491 are active cases. 

 

39 Discharged: 

After testing negative and recovery, 10 from Dr. Chhang’s Covid Super specialty hospital, 9 from Desun Covid hospital, and others from Safe homes and home isolation 39 were discharged today.

 

NBMCH

25 suspected Covid patients are admitted in three Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH).

There is 4 in Surgical Isolation, 4 patients in Respiratory Illness Care Unit (RICU), and 17 in Female -Gynecological Isolation ward are admitted, one died in NBMCH. 

 

DR. CHHANG'S SS Covid Hospital 

At Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital 56 patients are admitted today in this hospital at Himanchal Vihar of which 14 are newly admitted while 10 are released. 

9 of Kurseong admitted, 1 of Kurseong is released.

 

DESUN Covid Hospital

In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 59 Covid-19 patients are admitted of which 18 patients are newly admitted and 9 are released.  

1 each from Dr Zakir Hussain Road Darjeeling, Dudhia and Kurseong are admitted in this hospital.

 

NIVEDITA Nursing Home

48 patients are being treated in Isolation ward of this hospital. Of these 31 are Covid patients.

QUARANTINE CENTRES AND SAFE HOMES

The number of people in home quarantine in the district of Darjeeling is 1181 and in Kalimpong district is 681, the tally of GTA area stands to 1862. 

Altogether there are 8 persons in 1 institutional facility quarantine.

There are 12 Covid patients in 2 Covid hospitals outside GTA area, 61 in GTA area and 84 more Covid patients in 5 Safe Homes of GTA, the tally being 157 as active cases.

Today’s daily state bulletin stated that Darjeeling district has 3580 confirmed cases of which 2764 have recovered and 50 died while 766 are active cases.
