WB records 51 death, 3066 new cases, 116498 confirmed cases, 27299 active cases, 2935 recovery, recovery rate increased to 74.48%.

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 16 August 2020: Rate of recovery of Covid-19 cases in West Bengal during the last 24 hours is 74.48 percent, but death records highest spike of 60.

In the state the number of new cases also has been increasing, it has recorded 3066 new cases (1 day before-3074, 2 days before- 3035) as well as 51 death (1 day before-58, 2 days before- 60) during the last 24 hours.

The total number of recovery is 2935 (1 day before-2647, 2 days before- 2572) and 116498 confirmed cases (1 day before-113432, 2 days before- 110358) while active cases is 27299 (1 day before-27219, 2 days before-26850). The death toll from the disease in the state till now is 2428 (1 day before-2377, 2 days before-2319). After recovery of the infection 86771 (1 day before-83836, days before- 81189) Covid patients are released from all the Covid hospitals of the state.

The testing of swab samples for Covid-19 in 66, ICMR testing labs is being done and in the last 24 hours 32286 (1 day before-34214, 2 days before-31317) samples were tested that tally 1314772 (1 day before-1282486, 2 days before- 1248872) till now since day 1.

In the last 24 hours, 39731 persons (1 day before-38715, 2 days before- 34037) were under home quarantine/ observation/ surveillance and a total of 452116 persons (1 day before-448099, 2 days before- 440247) were in the home quarantine/ observation/ surveillance till today.

Number of people released from home quarantine was 412385 (1 day-409384, 2 days before- 406210).

Currently in the 582 institutional government quarantine centres there are 2661 persons (1 day before-2672, 2 days before- 2696) and so far from these centres 106752 persons (1 day before-106703, 2 days before- 106642) were released after recovery.

Currently in the state there are 84 Hospitals dedicated for treating COVID-19, 29 Government Covid hospitals and 55 Private Covid-19 hospitals.
