West Bengal status- 40 death, 2341 new cases, 58718 confirmed cases, 19595 active cases, 2097 recovery, recovery rate decreased from 66.72% to 64.29% .

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 26 July 2020 : Since 5th July the rate of recovery of Covid-19 cases in West Bengal has been decreasing. On 4th July it has reached upto 66.72%, from the very day it has been decreasing and during the last 24 hours it is 64.29 percent.

In the state the number of new cases also has been increasing and during the last 24 hours it has 2341 new cases (1 day before-2404, 2 days before- 2216) as well as 40 death (1 day before-42, 2 days before- 35) is recorded in the last 24 hours.

The total number of recovery is 2097 (1 day before-2125, 2 days before- 1873) and confirmed cases is 58718 (1 day before-56377, 2 days before- 53973) while active cases is 19595 (1 day before-19391, 2 days before-19154). The death toll from the disease in the state till now is 1372 (1 day before-1332, 2 days before-1290). After recovery of the infection 37751 (1 day before-35654, days before- -33529) Covid patients are released from the hospital.

The testing of swab samples for Covid-19 in 56, ICMR testing labs is being done and in the last 24 hours 16045 (1 day before-15628, 2 days before-15485) samples were tested that tally 805185 (1 day before-789140, 2 days before- 773512) till now since day 1.

In the last 24 hours, 34291 persons (1 day before-33184, 2 days before- 31219) were under home quarantine/ observation/ surveillance and a total of 398012 persons (1 day before-395324, 2 days before- 390359) were in the home quarantine/ observation/ surveillance till today.

Number of people released from home quarantine was 363721 (1 day-362140, 2 days before- 359140).

Currently in the 582 institutional government quarantine centres there are 3470 persons (1 day before-3412, 2 days before- 3402) and so far from these centres 104468 persons (1 day before-104350, 2 days before- 104304) were released after recovery.

Currently in the state there are 81 Hospitals dedicated for treating COVID-19, 27 Government Covid hospitals and 54 Private Covid-19 hospitals.
