31 Recovered, 3 of Darjeeling and 1 of Sikkim dies of Covid, 69 of Siliguri Municipality, 95 of Darjeeling Dist, 5 of Kalimpong, 2 of Sukhiapokhari, 1 of Kurseong,7 of Coochbehar, 22 of Alipurduar, 34 of Malda, 68 of Jalpaiguri, tested positive

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 26 July 2020: 

1 death in Sikkim- A 74 yr old male of Rongli died today of Covid-19 in STNM hospital of Sikkim. He had comorbidities and its the first death in Sikkim.  46 new cases is reported today with confirmed 545 cases. 

3 died of Covid in Siliguri- A 91 yr old female of Shaktigarh, 70 yr old female of Nagarkatta at RICU unit of North Bengal Medical College. Another Karna Bahadur Karki 46 yr old of Champasari Pradhan Nagar died in DESUN hospital. 

69 of Siliguri Municipal Corporation infected

Of the 69 persons of SMC testing positive, the positive patients are 8 of Ward No.40; 7 of Ward No.35; 6 of Ward No.6; 5 of Ward No. 4, 11, 41; 4 of Ward Nos. 8, 43; 3 of Ward Nos. 4, 38; 2 of Ward Nos. 24, 26, 31, 39, 47 ; 1 of Ward Nos. 2, 5, 10, 14, 17, 23, 25, 27, 28, 30, 33, 42 and 46. 

26 of other areas of Darjeeling district

2 of Sukhiapokhari, 1 of Kurseong, 5 of Fulbari (12 batallion), 1 of Naxalbari, 3 of Khoribari, Bagdogra and several others from other blocks. 

5 of Kalimpong

2 of Tista and 3 of Gorubathan tested positive today.

22 in Alipurduar: 12 new cases reported from Alipurduar. In the district there are 258 Confirmed cases, 215 recovered,1 died and 42 active cases. 

34 of Malda:  34 new cases is reported today from Malda. There are 1897 Confirmed cases, 1496 have recovered and 13 died and 392 are active cases. 

7 of Coochbehar:  7 new cases of Covid 19 infection is reported today. The complete report of the district is 514 confirmed cases of which 2 are nationals of Bangladesh and 1 of them had died, 410 recovery and 103 active cases. Lock down in the district is extended for one week. 

61 of Jalpaiguri:  61 new case is reported from Jalpaiguri today. In the district there are 1072 confirmed cases of which 715 have recovered, 9 died and 414 active cases.

31 Discharged: After testing negative twice and recovery, 18 from Dr. Chhang’s Covid Super speciality hospital, 6 from Desun Covid hospital and others from different Safe homes are discharged today.

NBMCH

22 suspected Covid patients are admitted in three Isolation Wards of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH).

There are 5 patients in Surgical ward, 4 patients in Respiratory Illness Care Unit (RICU), and 13 in Gynecological ward. 

DR. CHHANG'S SS COVID hospital 

At Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital 92 patients are admitted today. 

1 patient of Tungsung-Darjeeling, and 2 from Tamsang- Darjeeling is admitted.

1 of Gorubathan is released. 

DESUN hospital

In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 63 Covid-19 patients are admitted of which 10 are in ICU.

1 each of Singmari Darjeeling and Sukuna is admitted in this hospital.

NIVEDITA Nursing Home

38 patients are being treated in Isolation ward of this hospital of them 24 are Covid patients.

HATIGHISA SAFE HOUSE 

None from GTA are admitted.

BATASIA SAFE HOUSE 

33 patients are admitted in this Safe house.

1 of Barbong- Kurseong is admitted to this Safe House. 

 

GTA

TRIBENI Covid Hospital

No patient from GTA area is presently admitted in this hospital. Government of West Bengal has upgraded this hospital from SARI II to SARI IV Covid hospital. 

DISHA SAFE HOME

16 Covid patients of Kalimpong district are admitted and being treated here.

ITI SAFE HOME, Gorubathan

4 patients of Gorubathan are being treated here. 

QUARANTINE CENTRES

The number of people in home quarantine in the district of Darjeeling is 1031 and in Kalimpong district is 718, the tally of GTA area stands to 1749. 

Altogether there are 75 persons in 6 institutional facility quarantines of GTA.

Number of Covid patients in the eight districts of North Bengal

Today’s daily state bulletin stated that Darjeeling district has 1805 confirmed cases of which 1224 have recovered and 17 died while 564 are active cases. 

Similarly Kalimpong district has 82 confirmed cases of which 63 have recovered, 1 died and 18 are active cases. 

Alipurduar has 267 confirmed cases of which 216 have recovered and 1 died while 50 are active cases. 

Jalpaiguri has 1140 confirmed cases of which 9 died while 734 have recovered and 397 are active cases. 

Coochbehar has 551 confirmed cases of which 400 have recovered, 1 died and 150 are active cases. 

Malda has 2053 confirmed cases of which 1674 have recovered and 9 died and 370 are active cases.

Uttar Dinajpur has 863 confirmed cases of which 533 have recovered and 6 died and 324 are active cases.

Dakshin Dinajpur has 999 confirmed cases of which 767 have recovered and 5 died and 227 are active cases.
