KalimNews, Kalimpong, 21 June 2020: Todays report states a record and encouraging recovery of cases equivalent to 59.49 percent though the number of new cases is increasing. West Bengal is now at 7th position in terms of the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic. 
In the state 414 new cases (1 day before-441, 2 days before- 355) as well as 15 death (1 day before-11, 2 days before-11) and 432 recovery (1 day before-562, 2 days before-302) is recorded in the last 24 hours.
The total number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 in West Bengal is 13945 (1 day before-13531, 2 days before-13090) while active cases is 5093 (1 day before-5126, 2 days before-5216). The death toll from the disease till now is 555 (1 day before-540, 2 days before-529).
After recovery of the infection 8297 (1 day before-7865, days before-7303) Covid patients are released from the hospital and the rate of recovery has encouragingly increased to 59.49%
The testing of swab samples for Covid-19 in 49, ICMR testing labs is being done and in the last 24 hours 10549 (1 day before-10330, 2 days before-10321) samples were tested that tally 401491 (1 day before-390942, 2 days before-380612) till now since day 1.   
In the last 24 hours, 137838 persons (1 day before-160726, 2 days before-142869) were under home quarantine/ observation/ surveillance and a total of 298566 persons (1 day before-297308, 2 days before-296695) were in the home quarantine/ observation/ surveillance till today.

Number of people released from home quarantine was 160278 (1 day before-136582, 2 days before-153826).
Currently in the 582 institutional government quarantine centres there are    8897 persons (1 day before-9123, 2 days before-9484) and so far from these centres 90350 persons (1 day before-89421, 2 days before-88279) were released after recovery.
Currently in the state there are 69 Hospitals dedicated for treating COVID-19, 16 Government Covid hospitals and 53 Private Covid-19 hospitals.
Today’s daily state bulletin stated that Darjeeling district has 294 confirmed cases of which 144 have recovered and 5 died while 147 are active cases. Similarly Kalimpong district has 52 confirmed cases of which 36 have recovered, 1 died and 15 are active cases. Alipurduar has 173 confirmed cases of which 42 have recovered while 131 are active cases. Jalpaiguri has 300 confirmed cases of which 152 have recovered and 148 are active cases. CoochBehar has 288 confirmed cases of which 264 have recovered and 24 are active cases.
