New Covid cases -33 of Darjeeling district , 2 of Kalimpong, 24 of Alipurduar, 4 of Malda includes SMC official, a nurse a staff of NBMCH and 2 journalists

Darjeeling: 2 of Darjeeling hills, 25 of Siliguri Municipal Corporation, 6 of other areas: 

It includes one SMC official Mukul Sengupta who is now being treated in a private nursing home, 1 nurse and 1 staff of NBMCH and 2 journalists and one from Naxalbari.  

Others are 5 of Matigara, 4 of ward nos. 28 Tikiapara, and 46 Champasari,  3 of ward no. 9 Khalpara ,  2 from Ward nos, 2 Pradhan Nagar, 4, 5 and 39 Hyderpara,, one each from ward nos, 11 Khudirampalli, 14 Ashrampara, 24, 33, 36, 37 of Devasis Colony, Santoshinagar, Central Colony, Ganganagar, and Darjeeling More. 

Ashok Bhattacharya is being treated though his oxygen requirement has been increased but he is responding to medication. 

Kalimpong: 2 cases of Topkhana Kalimpong and Munsong tested positive and admitted at Dr. Chhang’s SS C hospital and Desun hospital respectively. 

2 positive patients of Lower Chargharey Todey and Mal 4 Pry. School of Gorubathan block under Kalimpong district were admitted yesterday and are being treated at Hatighisa Safe House. 

Triveni Covid Hospital (SARI- Severe Acute respiratory Illness) situated near Teesta bazar will be inaugurated on 22 june 2020.

Alipurduar: 24 new cases reported from Alipurduar. Yesterday a record of 46 cases were reported from this district. All are returnees from other states and admitted at Ayush Covid hospital at Tapsikhata. In the district there are 176 Confirmed cases, 88 recovered and 88 active cases. It is reported that most of the institutional quarantine centres are almost vacant.

Malda: 4 new cases from the district is reported which included 3 police personnel and one official of district health department. 

Another official also has tested positive and is in home isolation. In the district there are 378 Confirmed cases, 216 recovered and 183 active cases. 

Jalpaiguri: 4 new cases is reported from Jalpaiguri. They are from Saili- Mal, Matelli and Rajgunj. A girl of Matelli admitted at Mal Super Specialty hospital tested positive to Covid-19. She and others are now admitted at Jalpaiguri Covid hospital.Tally of district is 272 Confirmed cases of which 137 have recovered and 135 are active cases.

Coochbehar:  No cases of Covid 19 infection is reported today. The complete report of the district is 282 confirmed cases of which 2 are nationals of Bangladesh and one of them had died, 227 recovery and 51 active cases. 

Discharge: 3 patients of GTA tasted twice negative and were discharged from Dr. Chhang’s SS Covid hospital.

As of today the number of Covid patients admitted and Beds available in some of the Government designated Covid hospitals of North Bengal

NBMCH

There are 3 patients in Isolation ward, 1 patient admitted in Respiratory ICU and 2 in Gynecological isolation ward of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). 

Covid hospital

At Dr. Chhang’s Super Speciality Covid hospital 65 patients are admitted. 

7 patients of GTA area are in the Dr. Chhang’s SS Covid hospital. There are 6 patients of Darjeeling district, 

5 newly admitted are 1 of Sonada, 1 of Gopal Dhura TE, 1 of Badamtam, 1 of Barnesburg and 1 of Lower Chungthung. 1 of Ambotia was already admitted. 

Kalimpong: 1 patient is admitted from Munsong of kalimpong.

Released: 1 of Frymal Village, 1 of Tindharia and 1 of Gorubathan (Kalimpong) are discharged after recovery.

2 of Gorubathan (Kalimpong district) are transferred to Hatighisa Safe House.

DESUN hospital

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 21 June 2020: 

DESUN hospital is the second Covid hospital of Siliguri. In DESUN Covid Hospital at Kawakhali, 30 Covid-19 patients are admitted. 

1 of Dudhia (Kurseong) and 1 of Kalimpong admitted. 

GTA

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 21 June 2020: 

The number of people in home quarantine in the district of Darjeeling is 2732 and in Kalimpong district it is 1635, the tally of GTA area stands to 4367. 

Altogether there are 111 persons in 10 institutional facility quarantines of GTA.

Today’s daily state bulletin stated that Darjeeling district has 294 confirmed cases of which 144 have recovered and 5 died while 147 are active cases. Similarly Kalimpong district has 52 confirmed cases of which 36 have recovered, 1 died and 15 are active cases. Alipurduar has 173 confirmed cases of which 42 have recovered while 131 are active cases. Jalpaiguri has 300 confirmed cases of which 152 have recovered and 148 are active cases. CoochBehar has 288 confirmed cases of which 264 have recovered and 24 are active cases.
