Meeting to decide on interim wage hike of hill tea garden workers on Feb 22

Prashant Acharya, EOI, SILIGURI,18 Feb 2018: The tripartite meeting between the tea garden owners, trade union leaders and four state ministers including state government representatives will decide the interim wage increment of the tea garden workers on February 22 at Uttarkanya in Siliguri. 
Joint Labour commissioner Chandan Dasgupta has called the meeting to discuss the present state of affairs of the tea gardens in North Bengal. 
The meeting will discuss on recent interim wage increase of workers, distribution of 2nd part of Bonus (2016-17) to the workers of hill area gardens. And issue of money transfer of food grains. 
Tourism minister Gautam Deb, labour minister Moloy Ghatak and PWD, Youth affairs and sports minister Aroop Biswas are expected to attend the meeting.
