All party meeting decided strike to continue....GMCC formed... next programme fast unto death by leaders ...next meeting on 6 July

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 29 June 2017: The ongoing indefinite total strike will be continued, decided the all party meeting held today in Kalimpong. GJM is of the opinion that it is people's movement so people are willing to participate in the strike without any complain.
The all party meeting to decide on the future course of action regarding the ongoing Gorkhaland agitation held today in  Hotel Tres at Kalimpong discussed all pros and cons as well as aspiration and the demand of the mass especially the youth. 
The meeting decided to have collective leadership and formed Gorkhaland Movement Coordination Committee (GMCC) and elected Kalyan Dewan as its coordinator and D K Pradhan to assist him. A 30 member committee was also formed taking 2 from each party and organisation and in addition to that 2 from each of Siliguri and Duars will be coopted in the next meeting to be held on 6th July. It was come into a consensus that Gorkhaland is the one and only agenda and the demand for every party and person so GMCC will not participate in any meeting called by the government which has agenda other than the formation of Gorkhaland.
The committee will be formed formally in the next meeting in which its future course of action, activity and programme will be sorted out. If the demand of Gorkhaland is not heeded by the government, the next possible programme will be fast unto death by leaders . 
In the meeting convened by Tilak Chandra Roka convenor of the joint committee of all parties of hills, more than fifty representatives attended to give their opinion and proposals for the movement. 
In absence of prominent leaders like Bimal Gurung and Roshan Giri of GJM, Man Ghising of GNLF, HB Chhetri, Anmole Prasad and Amar Lama of JAP, RB Rai of CPRM, Pratap Khati of ABGL the following leaders and representatives belonging to different political and non political organisations were present in the meeting.
From Gorkha Janmukti Morcha (GJMM) Binay Tamang, R Moktan, DK Pradhan, Tilak Chandra Roka, Sarita Rai, Dr.RB Bhujel, Jyoti Kr. Rai, Kalyan Dewan and Samuel Gurung were present. To represent Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Hills Shankar Acharya, Manoj Dewan, A. Pokhrel and to represent Akhil Bharatiya Gorkha League (ABGL) Biplov Rai, Sudarshan Rai and Rebesh Gurung were present. Jan Andolan Party (JAP) was represented by Nayan prakash Pradhan, Pradip Chhetri, Tashi Sherpa and Gorkha National Liberation Front (GNLF) was represented by NB Chettri, Neeraj Zimba, MK Subba and Maurice Kalikotay. Communist Party of Revolutionary Marxist (CPRM) was represented by Kishore Pradhan, Govind Chettri, Arun Ghatani and Bharatiya Gorkha Parisangh (BGP) was represented by Sukhman Moktan, Munish Tamang, 
Akash Lama while Gorkhaland Rajya Nirman Mancha (GRNM) was represented by Dawa Pakhrin, Ranjan Sharma and Satish Pokhrel.Darjeeling Hill Congress (DHC) was represented by Dilip Pradhan, Shanti Sharma and Surendra Parekh while United Gorkha Revolutionary Front (UGRF) was represented by Ajay Dahal, Rudra Acharya and Dinesh Shankar. 
From other organisations CK Shrestha, Narendra Kumar Tamang, Amir Sundas represented Gorkha Bharatiya Vichar Manch (GBVM) while Tilak Thapa, Bhawani Pradhan and Bikram Golay represented Darjeeling Dooars United Development Foundation (DDUDF). Bhutpurva Sainik Group was represented by Suren Pradhan and Kalimpong Krishak Kalyan Sangathan (KKS) was represented by Bishnu Chettri.Rahul Amulya Pradhan represented Voice of Gorkha Youth while Rajesh Gurung and Smreetee Rai represented Citizen's Forum.
Through out the meeting held for about six hours, large number of youths and Gorkhaland lovers gathered around the hotel chanted slogans giving pressure to the leaders not to compromise this time and go ahead for Gorkhaland as the the one and only goal without any alternative.Most of these youths without having any allegiance to any political party had placards encouraging as well as warning the political leaders.
