Inebriated youth manhandle vice-principal of Odlabari ITI College
The vice-principal of the ITI College was allegedly heckled by the students while a security guard who came to his rescue was also beaten up by the agitating youth. It was alleged that a gang of 20-25 persons standing at the main gate of the college were hurling abusive language at the vice-principal of the college. When he protested, the youth entered the college premises by scaling the boundary wall.
They manhandled the official and his security guard. The college authorities have lodged a complaint in the local police station in this regard. Police have started a probe on the basis of the complaint. The senior officials of the ITI College urged the district police officers take stern action against the accused. They also requested the police to take actions against the shop where the accused indulge in various anti-social activities. Police interrogated the local people and are conducting raids to nab the culprits.
The mob ransacked a portion of the college and pelted stones at the windowpanes. The vice-principal of the ITI College resides at the quarter situated inside the college campus along with his family. The inebriated youth allegedly demanded an explanation on what the vice-principal was doing inside the college late in the evening. The motive is still not clear. The students of the ITI College are terrified after the incident. They alleged that some local youth gossip and booze at a grocery shop situated adjacent to the college.
