Mamata to visit Siliguri on April 10

UJJAL BHATTACHRYYA, EOI, Siliguri, 5 Apr 2014: Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is expected to visit Siliguri on April 10 to campaign for Darjeeling district parliamentary constituency Trinamool candidate Baichung Bhutia, informed TMC senior leader and the North Bengal Development minister Gautam Deb today during a press conference held at the TMC district party office in Siliguri.
The NBDD minister said the state government is committed to the development of the hills and has initiated many development projects as part of this endeavour.
When asked about the BJP-GJM ally, Deb said the BJP is practicing the politics of lies and deception. He said the people of the constituency have not forgotten what they have got from the saffron party after electing its candidate Jaswant Singh in last general election in 2009.
The TMC is confident to clinch victory from the constituency, said the minister.
