Gurung acquitted

Rajjev Ravidas, TT, Kalimpong, April 9: The court of the additional chief judicial magistrate of Kalimpong today acquitted Gorkha Janmukti Morcha president Bimal Gurung and seven others in a case related to the blockade of NH31A in February 2011 after the Sibchu firing on grounds of insufficient evidence.

Gurung, said: “I want to thank the judge, my lawyers and other members of the bar association.
