Sexual assault to a Nepali girl in Delhi.
KalimNews, PR, Delhi: A breaking news was repeatedly broadcasted on television today morning stating that a Nepali girl was sexually assaulted in the capital city. The news spread like wildfire in Darjeeling hills and the entire nation already hit by a series of rape cases in the past.
On receiving the information of sexual assault on a girl the GJMM team of Delhi & NCR including Naari Morcha and Vasant Vihar unit reached Safdarjung Hospital in New Delhi where she was admitted.
Ranjan Sharma, General Secretary of Delhi GJMM ,said that an 18 year old girl, inhabitant of Sindhupal Chowk, Nepal who was living in Delhi since the last few years, working as a housemaid in Greater Kailash, New Delhi was found to have been admitted. Her husband aged around 22 year who also hails from Nepal stated that they were married last year and the girl had been to her friends place at Kotla Mubarakpur yesterday evening and was returning to her room in Chirag Dilli.
She was offered a lift by 3 men in a car and was sedated heavily by the culprits. The girl was forcibly intoxicated and she regained her consciousness today morning. She was reported to have been found lying in Safdarjung area by the police and immediately taken to Safdarjung Hospital. Her clothes were found torn and she was still in an intoxicated state.
On enquiry with the police it was learnt that a case for outraging the modesty of women, criminal conspiracy and wrongful confinement has been registered and investigation to nab the culprits is on.
The police reported to the press that there are no physical marks on the body indicating assault and her condition is getting stable. Police further said that there are no possible indications of any sexual assault.
However, medical report of the victim and final confirmation of any foul play in the matter is awaited. The police have recorded the statement of the girl and her husband.
Ranjan Sharma said that Delhi GJMM is keeping a close track of the case and is in touch with the victim, her husband, police officials.
"If need arises we shall render all possible help to assist the victim and bring the matter to a logical conclusion", Sharma added.
The matter has also been reported in the local as well as national media.
