WBSSC Begins Mutual Transfer Process, 77 Applicants Called for Hearing
The move follows the reopening of the Utsashree portal from July 1 for transfers of teaching and non-teaching employees.
The pending mutual transfer applications will be processed under the 2012 rules. The 77 applicants called in the first phase had applied between 2022 and 2024.
The hearing will be held at the Commission's second office at Kaunamoyee in Salt Lake from 11 am.
Applicants have been asked to appear in person with photocopies of their service-related documents and a demand draft of Rs 1,000 each in favour of the Commission.
The transfer process had remained stalled after the Utsashree portal was suspended in September 2022.
Mutual transfer applications were again accepted from January 2025, but teachers had complained that these had not been processed even by June 2026.
Those who no longer wish to opt for mutual transfer have also been asked to appear in person with a written request forwarded by the head of their institution.
Applicants already recommended for transfer following court orders have been asked to bring the relevant orders and the Commission's recommendation letters.
After verification of the documents, the mutual transfer recommendations will be processed through the Utsashree portal.
