State Government Notifies 38% DA and DR from October 1
According to a notification issued by the Finance Department on Tuesday evening, the calculation of DA shall be made by taking into account the revised basic pay and Non-Practising Allowance (NPA), if any, but it shall not include any other type of pay.
The DA shall be applicable to teaching and non-teaching employees of government-aided educational institutions, employees of statutory bodies, government undertakings, panchayats, including Panchayat Karmis, municipal corporations, municipalities, local bodies and other eligible employees.
For employees and pensioners who continue under the old pay structure, the rates of DA and DR have been increased from 171% to 223%.
There will also be a further ad hoc increase of Rs 110 in the daily rate of wages with effect from October 1 for daily-rated workers under the government whose wages are not regulated by any statutory provisions.
Government-acquired undertakings and statutory bodies will have to meet the additional expenditure from their own funds. The state government will not provide separate financial assistance for this purpose.
