TMC Reshuffles Leadership, Plans Legal Challenge Over Opposition Leader Recognition
Chandrima Bhattacharya replaced Subrata Bakshi as state president, while Derek O’Brien and Dola Sen were appointed joint national secretaries to assist Abhishek Banerjee.
Several changes were also made to the state committee and party wings.
Madan Mitra, given charge of the Hawkers and GOI Cell, criticised ongoing hawker evictions.
The meeting also discussed Assembly developments, with TMC deciding to challenge in the Calcutta High Court the Speaker’s recognition of Ritabrata Banerjee as Leader of the Opposition.
