‘Jan Kalyan Shivir’ to Promote 54 Projects, Deliver Benefits of 35 Schemes


MP, June 13, 2026, Kolkata : Benefits of 35 state government schemes will be delivered, and awareness regarding 54 projects of the state government will be conducted during “Jan Kalyan Shivir” (JKS), which will be held across the state from June 15 to 17.

About 3,283 camps have been scheduled so far.

The 54 schemes for which awareness will be held come under 19 departments, while services will be delivered for 35 schemes under 13 departments, namely Agriculture, Backward Class Welfare, Finance, Fisheries, Food and Supplies, Food Processing and Horticulture, Health, Higher Education, Home, Labour, Land, Minority Affairs and Madrasah Education and MSME.

The notable central schemes for which services will be delivered include PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, Ayushman Bharat, PM Vishwakarma, Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme, Mudra Loan and PM Shram Yogi Maandhan, to name a few.

It has been decided that the local administration will undertake an exercise whereby one camp will be organised to cover around seven gram panchayats and around ten wards in rural and urban areas, respectively.

In Municipal Corporation areas, including KMC, one camp will be held for each of the 16 boroughs.

The Department of Planning, Statistics and Programme Implementation will be the nodal department for JKS.
