SSC publishes CBI-recovered OMR sheets of 2016 candidates

MP, May 11, 2026, Kolkata : The West Bengal School Service Commission has published scanned OMR sheets recovered by the Central Bureau of Investigation for candidates who appeared in the 2016 recruitment process for assistant teachers of Classes IX-X and XI-XII.

The move has renewed demands from teachers who lost jobs after the cancellation of the 2016 panels, with several organisations urging the new government to seek reinstatement of “untainted” candidates.

The recruitment process had come under scrutiny over alleged irregularities, and the Supreme Court in April 2025 upheld the cancellation of 25,753 appointments.
