The filing of nominations will begin on March 30 and scrutiny will take place on March 31, he told reporters here.
The last date for withdrawal of nominations is April 4.
Polling will be held from 8 am to 5 pm on April 24, and the counting of votes will take place from 8 am on April 25, he said.
The elections will be held in nine municipalities and nagar panchayats. A total of 93,800 voters are eligible to exercise their franchise in 121 polling stations across six districts, Lepcha said.
The poll panel has completed all preparations for the smooth conduct of the municipal elections in the Himalayan state, he added.
Meanwhile, the ruling Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM) on Monday evening announced candidates for the polls.
Among the nominees are Nell Bahadur Chettri from Upper Burtuk Ward and Tshering Palden Bhutia from Development Area Ward — both of them being renominated.
Pemnorbu Bhutia from Upper Gurpisey Ward, Mamta Kalikotey from Lower Gurpisey and Sanju Mangar from Majhitar Ward have also been given tickets by the SKM.
Party spokesperson Jacob Khaling exuded confidence about securing a landslide victory under Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang.
