Last month, the New Town Kolkata Development Authority approved the Phase-I building plan for the TCS office campus at Bengal Silicon Valley, which spans 20 acres. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had announced this development and highlighted that Bengal is gradually becoming a hub of innovation. Banerjee also stated that in the first phase, world-class infrastructure will be developed, creating significant employment opportunities.
Taking to X, Banerjee had posted: “In this first phase, 9 lakh sq. ft. of world-class infrastructure, including an 11-storey office tower, will be developed, creating employment for 5,000 individuals.”
